I SURVIVED!!! LOL

Well, I finally made it to Sunday mid-afternoon. No calling, no texting after Friday morning. As you remember, I told him to just have fun and quit texting or calling. Sooo, I survived. AND it was SO hard to just not send a text and say Hi. But I did it. LOL. He sent me a text on Saturday and I never returned it. I waited. When he called on Sunday, he said that was the hardest thing he had to do was not pick up the phone and call, but he remembered that I didn't want that. THEN, he said something that reminded me of myself and some of the ladies:
He told me that I leave him OTC half the time and it drives him nuts. Everything that I text or write to him, he tries to figure out the hidden meaning. What's so funny, is that I never have a hidden meaning. So basically girls, he admitted that guys OTC as much as we do. LOL. Then he talked to me that he was really disappointed that I told him not to call the entire weekend. Anyways, I told him that I just don't want to know. He said the trip wasn't as great this time around as in the past. Something was missing and that was me. AWE! He kept telling me the places he wanted to take me, etc.
Ok, so we grilled hamburgers at his place, played volleyball again, then we drew chalk pictures in his drive-way. A LOT OF LAUGHING and joking. We all just love playing pranks on each other and I think his kids love the idea that I am up for anything funny. Another great evening that ended with his/my girls not wanting to let us leave.
Again, no holding hands or kissing. We did have to send them across the street to get some chips and then we were able to get a quick kiss in before they came back over, but we just hugged each other more when they were off playing someplace, because we didn't want to be "caught" and we felt that hugging is alot more acceptable. Otherwise, other then the occasional arm around the shoulder for scoring a point, or sitting side by side each other, we stayed separated. It's working well that way and we really enjoy each others company as FRIENDS moreso then as a lovey dovey couple. I still get electrified when he kisses me, but I don't have that whole head over heels. Does that make sense? Anyway, I am glad he's home though, because I really did miss him. Which I think is a great sign. ;)
OMG! I almost forgot to tell you! Mark wanted to take us on a tour of the country and pick up the girls from their mom's. So we did and he wanted us to come in and say Hi. LOL. I met his X wife and the husband that was the guy she cheated on Mark with. LOL! That was WEIRD! And I felt soooo CHECKED out! Not from the X wife but from her husband. Everytime I turned my head to try to initiate an all around conversation, he was checking me out. UGH! I know they all get along really well now and I think he wanted to test me how I would be under those circumstances or just show me off, because I looked really cute. I know his girls were already talking about me and we were going to meet his X wife at the softball game together. This was a little better. I was introduced ahead of time without being put in a front of an entire town and a lot of whispers going on. It's a TINY TINY town so everyone knows EVERYONE. Anyway, she seems very nice and she was very polite towards me. Very nice to my children, so it worked out well. When I see her on Friday, I can already wave to her and initiate a conversation. That should keep the wagging tongues to a minimum.

The playdate with the kids at his house sounds like a lot of fun, and it seems as though this is exactly what you (and the kids) need right now.
I am glad he's back, too, and I like that he shared the fact that he's a member of OTC with you- he's opening himself up, and that's great. The fact that he's willing to be emotionally vulnerable- even just a little- scores major points with me!
Everything sounds like its rolling right along, but not moving too quickly for you- which is great!

Moody, thinking Spring is truly in the air around here..
I think so too! LOL
Their seems to be a large amount of dating, relationships, etc going on lately. Spring seems to have really sprung. :)
It is quite funny, because I never said a word that I was going OTC. I just played it cool and casual. When he said he was upset about not allowing to call me, I said, "Oh come on! It wasn't that bad." LOL. I'm such a brat!
I did later whisper in his ear that it was good to have him back and he just smiled from ear to ear. LOL. I didn't want him to think I was totally heartless.
