I went to lunch and I ate ALONE!! Never in my entire life would I sit alone, eat alone, and be in a restaurant alone!
It wasn't so bad, I sat there with my New England Clam Chowder and observed.
Thanks Min for the idea!

Glad it worked out and you enjoyed it. And YUM on the chowder. Sounds great and very cozy and warming. Especially since we're getting MAJOR snow tonight and tomorrow, apparently.
Maybe I'll try my hand at making some. Hmmmmm....
The Chowder was so delicious.... The funny thing about this Chowder was when I walked into work on Monday the little cafe' in my building said they had NE Clam Chowder for soup that day. I usually bring my lunch but it sounded so good and it's getting cold here now and Monday was just perfect day to have some hot soup. So I go down at lunch time and there is none... I asked the girl working what happened and she said it was bad. So now my taste buds were acking for some chowder..I go back to my desk and I start looking on line at other places to go to get some chowder. The only other place that I would trust for chowder was Panera Bread! So I call and of course they have none until Friday... All week long I was planning on going and getting the chowder there and thinking if it would stay hot till I got back to work and that is when Min's email came to mind. So that is my story on the clam chowder....

I was going to go to the movies today myself. I didn't have the kids this weekend so I figured a Sunday was a perfect time (especially a dreary Sunday like today is) for a movie. BUT, my daughter ended up sick again, we're not really sure if the pneumonia came back or what's going on but I spent 2 hours at the doctor's yesterday and then she had what seems to be an allergic reaction to the medication they put her on, so I had to go back again today and now she's on another medication. Her father took her brother and I kept her, which I preferred to do anyway, since you know how it is when your child is sick. But there went my weekend alone. ;0

oh Tara, your poor little girl! I hope they get whatever's going on with her figured out quickly and she's back on track. I assume she's not in school again today. Hugs to you.
(on a side note. Ty and I DID make our clam chowder and shrimp scampi dinner. We enjoyed every bite. It was SOOOOO yummy. And not as hard OR as costly to make as I always assumed. I've found a new favorite soup recipe!)
