I am curious to hear about all of your kids??

I have identical twin boys age 8 soon to be 9 on July 2nd!! Their names are Jacob and Justin and they are active in baseball - quite the hitters. I am hoping that they can get into football this fall. I think it will be so cute to see them in their little uniforms! They are active BOYS and my little helpers and always there to give mom a hug and a kiss.

So tell me about yours...

:) Lizbeth

I have a son, Dylan who is 5. He's mine from my first marriage. He's a total doll face! He has big hazel eyes and blonde hair and stands at around four feet. Very smart and creative and loves sports and Dragon Ball Z!

He starts kindergarten this Fall and played Tee Ball this summer for the first time. He's away this summer with his father, but can't wait to come home and wrestle Shane. I just want to hug my little man again!!!

Glad you asked! Your kids sound SOO cute! I have always wanted twins, but I am sure you hear that alot and are quick to say that it's easy to want them and another to keep up with them!

We need pictures.

My son Ty just turned 10 a week ago. He was in little league for the first time this past season (you can see a pic in the "bragging" folder below) and we had our end of the season party last night. He was VERY excited to get his first trophy! His dad was assistant coach, so it was a good family season.

Ty is VERY social. It's much more important who he has around him than what he is doing. He has never been much into toys. Would rather be socializing or playing outside. He lives on rollerblades and loves using his hockey stick and puck to play around.

And he's definitely still my little lover. Though it's gotten to be much more when no one is looking. Then he'll still ask me to snuggle with him. He's a sweetie. Very concerned for other people.

Tyler is in Michigan (starting today!) for 5.5 weeks. So, we'll miss him like crazy. But there were other family members back there clamoring for some of his time, as as my Dh and I both work full time there was no sense keeping him in daycare all day when he can go spend time with family and friends.

Your twins sound great.

I also have twins. They will be 7 on July 28. They are boy/girl fraternal twins named Katie and Alex. They were supposed to do basketball at the park district on Saturdays, but the class got cancelled. So, they are doing outdoor soccer instead. They both are in summer school and then after summer school they go to camp at the park district. They both love to swim. Katie loves sports, especially basketball and running (she was the fastest in her class -- my future track star). Her favorite thing is riding her bike, but she likes Barbies too. She likes dancing and music (like me), but she has a much better singing voice than I do. She must get that from her dad. She looks just like me, and sometimes she acts like me too (so much so that sometimes it's scary). Alex resembles his dad. He's a nut, like his dad, but he gets his serious, brooding side from me. Alex just loves playing with other kids. He loves Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles and especially Yu-Gi-Oh. His favorite thing is watching tv (Cartoon Network). He'd watch it all day if I let him. We got two kittens about a month ago, and they both are crazy about them. We just got back from a trip to Universal Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio. Unfortunately, Alex broke his wrist falling off of the monkey bars at the park the night before we left. I got him casted the next day, and we still went, we just

couldn't go to the water park. They really don't look much alike. Their personalities are night-and-day different, just like most boys and girls.

I could talk about them forever. It's really nice to know that there is another mom of twins on this site. Sometimes I think it's harder having two the same age, but on the other hand, it's also a lot of fun. I just have to ask you this? Do your twins fight a lot? Katie and Alex can be each other's best friends one moment, then the next moment they are fighting about something. They fight about stupid stuff like who has to take a bath first, or who gets to hold the "favorite" kitten or whose book do I read first at bedtime? It can really get on my nerves sometimes. Have you ever had a similar experience? I'm looking forward to talking to you and other single moms on the site. Have a great day everyone.

Well, I am a mother to two wonderful children :-)

My son Jacob is almost 13 and he is very active in skateboarding, soccer, basketball, motorcross, and hockey. Hockey is number one though, he plays from Sept-April and we do some traveling with the team, he wants to go all the way (NHL). He also attends some hockey camps during the summer.

My daughter Kelci is 8 and she is very active in soccer, she has played for 3 years now, and loves it. She is also in Girl Scouts, she has been a girl scout for 3yrs now, and this Fall, I will be one of the troop leaders (helpers). She also loves reading & school...

We stay pretty busy all year round.. It's alot of fun..

Plus, I play on an indoor Co-Ed Soccer from Sept-May.

Have a great & wonderful summer.

Hi - oh yess do they fight and because I made the mistake of showing them power rangers etc...they tend to practice on eachother!! I can relate to the fights over things - and I have to ask you this - doesnt it drive you BATTY at Christmas/birthdays when people give 1 present to the both of them? Ughhh they have no clue the arguments and fights they just set up for me!

Did you join a mother of multiples club? I did at first but I was soo much younger that the other moms that I felt really out of place. I hear there is alot of helpful advice there for our special cirumstance of being mothers of twins!! :)

Glad you are here too!

I don't post much anymore . . . but love talking about my boys . . .

I've got a 6 year old, Jojo. He's little for his age - super skinny - skin and bones, that kid! LOL He plays soccer, tennis and has JUST started the swim team for the summer, and his dad got him a 50cc Kawasaki dirt bike for his birthday (and I've already informed him I'm NOT paying 1/2 of any of the medical bills that may result from that! LOL) - and he's very excited about that and learning to turn and STOP. LOL He just finished kindergarten last week with all good marks, and is REALLY looking forward to going into first grade. He is my snuggle bug, and a very compassionate and passionate kid. He is also quite stubborn and has VERY selective hearing! LOL He adores his little brother and plays so well with him - but is frustrated that he can't talk, he steals his favorite toys, he doesn't know how to share, and he can't get a single moment of privacy. LOL I share him with his dad, my ex. We have shared 50/50 visitation, he spends a week with me, a week with his dad, back and forth, and neither of us pay support. It was a HUGE struggle at first, for all involved, but none of us would trade it for the world. It works REALLY well for everyone.

I've got a 21 month old, Alex. He's huge for his age. Already 3' tall and weighing 32 pounds - he wears a 4T already. Insanity! He's running around and just this week has started going down the stairs without holding on to anything - which has caused him to fall three times (a little too big for his britches!) and split his lip on the tile landing once. He's trying HARD to learn to talk - has a very limited vocabulary, but just this week has started copying the sounds his animal toy makes and his babbling is getting more intelligible. He is ornery, into everything, and a MAJOR POUTER when he gets scolded. That lower lip comes out and his big blue eyes well up with tears and the ten-second-delayed-cry comes out. Cracks me up. He's not a big snuggler, at all. The only time I can get him to calm down and let me snuggle him is when I'm giving him a bottle (which is the main reason he still GETS bottles!) or if he's sick or injured. He's WAY TOO busy for Mom! He dotes on his big brother, follows him around everywhere he goes and tries to do EVERYTHING he does. When his big brother goes to his daddy's every other Monday for the week - Alex looks for him, calls him, and cries when he can't be found. Every other Monday is a tough day for Alex!

I've got two step-kids . . . a 19 - almost 20 year ss that is just one of the neatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I just spent 4 days with him in Sioux Falls and enjoyed being around him SO much. He will be a junior at Kansas University this year where he is studying business management and in a fraternity and loving it. He's getting ready to go abroad the second semester to Spain for the semester for his dual degree in Spanish. Just a GREAT person. I also have a 17 - almost 18 year old sd. She will be a senior in high school in Nebraska this year. Her life REVOLVES around her boyfriend. She's been doing really well in school and just got back from her "Close Up" trip where she went to Washington, D.C. with her gov't class. She sent us numerous post cards while she was there - and we saw here while we were in Sioux Falls and she had tons of pictures and stories and was SO thankful that we paid for her to take that trip.

And then there is my husband . . . . the biggest kid of all! LOL He took a chance and broke his rule and dated a single mother with a young child, fell in love, and the rest is history!
