I Was Terrified...

I live in Missouri, so needless to say, we have some pretty terrible storms sometimes. Well..last night was horrible! It had stopped raining for a while but we were still under a tornado watch. I had some spare time after I dropped my dd off w/ her dad, so I went to the mall and got my nails done. While I was there a huge storm blew in producing tornadoes. So, here I was, at the mall, with a tornado warning in effect! One had touched down about 5 miles away from where I was, the whole entire up town was blacked out, the roads were closed, and I'm freaking out..lol! I had mentioned to new guy that I was terrified of storms the other day, so in the middle of all of this he calls me to see how I'm doing. I was trying to act like I was okay, but I told him that I was scared. The next thing I know he's telling me that it'll be alright and that he's going to come get me. Not five minutes later he shows up so I'm not by myself and having to drive in the middle of it.

While he probably should've stayed where he was b/c the weather was so bad, he still came and got me. I thought that was really nice. We went to his friends house who had a basement and stayed there until it passed through. Then he took me to dinner to "calm me down" lol! It was cute!

Just thought I'd share...lol!

That's sweet. Mildly crazy (to put his own life in jeopardy), but sweet. Obviously, you made it through the storm. I haven't ever had to deal with a tornado, or hurricane, or earthquake, I'm in Upstate NY, but we have hellish blizzards and ice sotrms sometimes. Not this year. This year has been blessedly mild. Sorry the sotrm was so bad, but at least now it's over, and you didn't have to go through it alone!

The snow and I don't get along either...lol...I'm terrible at driving on ice and snow. It doesn't really get "that" bad during the winter, but I'm sure you have to deal with it a lot in NY.

Yeah...it was a little silly for him to get out in the storm. But, he said that he's not scared of them and it didn't bother him. Oh well...if it had been the other way around, I never would've left my house...lol!
