In the spirit of this board being a welcoming, positive environment for all, I'm going to give this a try. If you haven't been posting, YOU ARE MOST CERTAINLY MISSED - so let us know how you are! Married, dating, engaged, or none of the above, we want to know the good, the bad and everything in between.

Wow Donna - that is one heckuva lot of stuff you have been sitting on.
I must say I am so impressed with the way you handled the stuff with your exh and the school. You really see it like it is and you are not taking it personally or letting it get to you too much. I admire your decision to wait to have your dd tested next year - that makes a lot of sense and I would do the same thing. It appears the school has sympathy for you and is willing to go out of their way for you. Good things will come if you keep doing what you are doing.
With regards to work all I can say is just keep doing your job and don't worry about the way the bad partner feels. You have no control over that and there is nothing he can do if you are working on everything they have asked and doing your job. I have found in work situations like that that it isn't too long before something else pisses off the boss and then you are less in the limelight. But it sure sounds like you have a good mental handle on it. You sound so strong in this post.
I have had a few cervical biopsies before. One was for an abnormal pap smear and the other was when this dodo doctor thought I needed one for a yeast infection. At any rate, the results always came back negative but the cramps are bad afterwards. The first one had a few abnormal cells so they did a cryosurgery where they freeze your cervix. I have never had any problems after that. Also my secretary always gets an abnormal pap smear and then has to go through the biopsy and or colposcopy and then they find nothing. She has to go through that every 3 to 6 months. Think positive thoughts!!
He has called me every day, at least once and is planning another trip back here in a couple weeks. i can't wait to see him again. i was really sick when he was here. i had a horrible sinus infection that only made me tired and in a daze till i went to the doctor and found out what the deal was and got some antibotics. Now that he's gone, and been gone a week, i'm back to normal. So i've just been working and hanging out with my DS, who's 5. Last weekend we painted a fence out front of our house and it looks sooo much better. We also planted some veggies in the back yard. This long weekend i'm taking him to the zoo for the first time. Next weekend we're picking strawberries on a farm. I used to do that as a kid and i hope it will be some thing DS and i can do in the future together.
Today at work i was thinking about how good my DS has been lately. no more bad words at school and he's been listening so much better. It dawned on me that it is probably because he hasn't seen his father since christmas. He's in jail and will be for at least another month if not 8 months or longer. My DS and I have gotten in to a real routine and been doing fun things together. Although i know the bills will start piling up soon, from lack of child support, and stress will get to me but i'm trying to just enjoy the one on one time we have now.
That's about it for me. Just making it day to day.

HI all - been a LONG time. Here is my update. I have managed to secure a fairly steady array of clients so I am still working for myself and the first week of the year I registered my business, Colorful Aura Creative. I bought the domain name colorfulaura.com and I am working on the site (well Jack bought it for me)
Yes, I am still with Jack. His parents know about us too - they did not welcome the whole thing AT ALL and his Dad said that he" would not help raise someone else's child" so whatever - bite me. Since his parents are going through a wonderfully hideous divorce right now we are backburner news so no big shakes. They know - that is fine. I am waiting on a BIG paycheck to finally get my ex's rights removed. Jack and I have been discussing marriage, moving in and adoption. So all good there. He is dealing with some other issues that have come to light - like a chronic anxiety disorder which he has had since he was a child. In fact, he went to the doctor for it today. We have been inseperable for the past month - I actually NEED time alone! LOL. But everything is going very very well - well IF I get paid that big check Monday which is when it is due. Till then I have $20 but I can always get money from you-know-who if I need it. I don't like to ask though. My issue - whatever.
Before Christmas though we were have a tough time there for a bit as you might recall. I did meet someone else that I really like but we did not do anything but form a great friendship. I still talk to him and they are both aware of each other. I might pursue something more with the new guy if things tank again with Jack. This is the last chance. I told him that if he tries to push me away again I will go and so far he has been doing his darndest to make sure he doesn't do that :) In fact, he is making up for stuff in a big way. But I know better than to put all my eggs in one basket. The other guy is SO much like me I think it might be bad for a relationship - but it is great for a friendship.
So I am optimistic and thrilled to be working from home. I love love love it. And I have more support and encouragemenbt from Jack and my entire family than ever before. If you would like to see some new photos here are some links to my 30th (aaakkk) birthday party my siblings had for me and to our little disaster (Alyse cut her hair! EEK)
Here they are:

Also, the biggest news is the big job I got to design 2 scrapbooking lines. I finished them in the middle of January (the big check I need Monday) and they will be on ShopNBC on March 30th! Here is a link to small photos of the stuff. I had to do a lot of spreads with the paper and embellishments and things I designed for the instruction book it came with so there are the spreads and a photo of the entire collection and YES - I designed EVERY SINGLE THING! :) almost 400 hours of work done between Christmas and January 18th (my house was TRASHED - still catching up!)

Hope everyone is well :)

Sara, you sound like you are doing so well. I love your story about painting the fence and planting the veggies - those are things I used to love to do with my son. I love projects like that with kids.
Keep us posted!
Good good good!! It is good to hear from you and to hear that things are turning in your favor.
I am so glad you got those big jobs and have a check coming in. And glad to hear you have a website. And glad to hear you and Jack are rolling along.
I hope it all keeps rolling in the right direction!!
Keep us posted!!

When I was at church last night my doctor called and left a message on my answering machine. He said he had the lab results back. He said he'd be in on Tuesday afternoon and I should call him to discuss the results and discuss follow up care. So, I'm assuming if he wants to see me again, he must have found some abnormal cells. He told me at my last appointment that if he found nothing, I wouldn't have to come back, but if he did, I would have to come back and have that cryosurgery, the freezing thing, that you were talking about. I was hoping it wasn't going to come to that, but there's nothing I can do about it. But I'll find out for sure on Tuesday. Until then, I'm not going to worry about it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and your support. I know it's not a big deal, it's just I was thinking, do I really need one more thing going on in my life right now? No, but I can't do anything about it. And I'd rather have it taken care of before it turns into something more serious.
It's funny how everyone's body is different. My sister has had tons of biopsies and cryosurgeries. In fact, she just had a hysterectomy right before Christmas. So, to ease my mind, I talked to her when I got the abnormal test results. What's funny is that I cramped and bled after my biopsy, and she never did. And she didn't after the cryosurgery either. I just want to go in there, get it over with, and put it behind me.
Donna
I'm sorry you are going through this!
I've had - huh - 2 colposcopy's a year for how many years? Since I was 17 - my last one being in 2003 (ALREADY SO LONG AGO! WHOO HOO!) I've had 6 cryos. Not really a big deal. I had 2 leeps. Those were both pretty intense. In 2003, I had 75% of my cervix removed. I've been WONDERFUL ever since.
Did you deliver your twins vaginally or have a C-Section? Does your sis have kids and did she deliver vaginally?
BEFORE I had kids - colposcopy's hurt like hades, and I would bleed, bleed, bleed, cramp, cramp, cramp. AFTER I had kids (two vaginal deliveries) - no problem. They told me that during delivery - all of the nerves in the cervix are destroyed.
I had a day of cramps following each cryo - but nothing TERRIBLE. No bleeding after that - but discharge.
I'm thinking of you! Have a great weekend - and don't worry! Be VERY HAPPY that you get do your annual check ups and that whatever it is - it was most likely caught VERY EARLY!
