So, Mike has booked us (Hunter, him & I) tickets to go to Long Island, NY to meet his parents (& friends) in the end of August.....I'm kinda nervous because:

1. Hunter's gonna be a 2 year old - nuff said (lol)

2. I'm not really comfortable staying at other peoples houses, but I don't wanna get a hotel because I don't want them to think that I think I'm too good to stay at their house...kwim?

3. He said he would not ask me to marry him until AFTER I met his parents (not bad nervous...just nervous nervous) lol

Wow - that is wonderful that he wants you to meet his parents. I do wish you a great trip.

As for your two year old sweetie - I am sure you know to bring him lots to do. I think one of the most important things is to a) tell him ahead of time how he is expected to act to be a good boy and b) never let them see you sweat. Seriously - I think no matter how wild a kid behaves, it never looks like a bad situation until the mother loses her cool.

I am sure you will do great. It is okay to stay at their house - I know it may seem hard at first but if they are as nice as he then you will be just fine. That is such a warm gesture on their part.

And of course if you get a proposal we want to know. Have a great trip!! Details when you get back are a must here!!

Well, Janet, if they raised such a great guy, they must be wonderful people, right?

And as far as Hunter, my friend just flew with a 2 year old, she's 6 months pregnant, and her plane got delayed both ways. The child was the best behaved person on the plane, and in the airport- it was the adults who couldn't seem to behave. Just remember that if he sees you losing your cool, it'll only make things worse for him, and everyone around you.

As far as the proposal, don't expect it to happen on the trip, because if it doesn't, you'll be disappointed. Have fun, don't be nervous, and know that Hunter, you, and Mike will survive traveling.

thanks Moody. I've flown once before with Hunter and he was just about perfect (knock on wood).....I'm not expecting a proposal on the trip, I just know that it can happen anytime after the trip, because that was one of his stipulations....no proposal until I meet his parents....
