I'm so upset about Dylan

I don't get it. Last Friday, he and another male student gave a female classmate a 1/4 moon almost at the end of the day. He got sent to the Behavior Room for the punishment. He had not had a few good days, but the couple leading up to that day were great.

Yesterday, he got in trouble for doing some stuff typical of his age, but still, it wasn't right. And today, he mooned AGAIN with a female student in PE and got sent to the room again, and I had to pick him up. Half day suspension.

In all my years of schooling, I was never suspended even for a few hours. He's in his 3rd six week period of Kindergarten.

Now his father wants me to remove him from class Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week so he can have him because his mother volunteered that without me knowing it. Shane and I were supposed to go to New Orleans with his work next weekend, but we aren't going to go due to us buying the house at the end of the month. Scott's mother was supposed to keep D during that weekend, so I told her we weren't going, but offered her the opportunity to have him anyway if she wanted. She agreed and then emailed Scott to tell him about it and asked him if he wanted Dylan instead, which automatically puts me driving not only that weekend twice, but also again Tuesday after school. He also doesn't even think about the fact that Dylan's schooling is more important and that I scheduled an ultrasound for that afternoon that Dylan was attending with Shane and me. I think he needs to be included on that, don't you?

I told him no, he can't have D until Tuesday, but he's making it so hard on me. I'm just ready to give up. Take D out of school, homeschool him and give up everything.

Right now, we have a big time excuse to keep things in order. We're moving and the house is being shown. So it has to be kept clean at all times just in case.

But I agree. I think if they can't pick up, they lose it. Shane needs to pick up his dirty clothes. I hate that a 35 year old man still leaves his crap lying around. But from what his mom said, he's always done that. Seems strange that she never broke him of that before he moved out. Now his first wife and I both have had the same complaints.

I won't throw away his clothes, but my rule in that case is, "if it isn't in the hamper when I'm ready to wash, they don't get washed!!!" Period!

HEHEHEHEHEHE! And I refuse to change the rule for anyone!

Speaking of mom's breaking bad habits, how about cultivating good habits! I joke around with David all the time that when his boys grow up they are going to make wonderful househusbands! LOL

All 4 kids know how to vacuum, wipe a table, mop a floor, make a bed, dust furniture and clean the bathroom (even the little one at 4 knows how to wipe down a toilet with one of those bathroom wipes).

And the best part? They actually have fun doing it! We usually turn the radio up real loud on cleaning day and party through it. =) D's mom and aunt have been around to watch it happen and they have been in awe. LOL

Cleaning can actually be fun with the radio on. Of course, no one helps me. Dylan is starting to at least put his own clothes away. But I turn on the rasio or a CD and go for it. I sing and dance and no one is here to hear me make an idiot of myself. Before I know it, I'm done. Just takes motivation and a little creativity.

Cleaning fun? You are a crazy woman, or we are just VERY different. I can certainly do the crazy singing dancing thing withOUT cleaning.

The result of cleaning is wonderful, makes me feel peaceful, serene...calm. But the cleaning itself? NEVER fun...LOL

I actually hate to clean, but I try to make it fun by dancing around when I have to do it. I try to find something creative to do. Dance music is good and I love 80's music so I use that. Whatever gets my mind off of what I'm doing. It normally seems to take less time when I'm listening to music because I'm paying more attention to the songs than the fact that I'm working. Since dancing is one of my all time favorite hobbies, it sure does make it more pleasant.

But like you, I can find lots more excuses to sing and dance like a fool than cleaning. But when I have to do something I hate, good music always lifts my mood.
