I'm starting off Wednesday WOES

Yikes!! Change!! While it looks great, I don't know how I feel about this new format.

Today is Open House at my school...and I have to DASH from work to my obg-yn appt. at 330 (20 miles) and THEN go back so I'm in for a lot of driving...I just paid $32 for gas yesterday at 2.37/gallon. I think we pay even more for gas than Hawaii does. So my classroom is a complete disaster and I'm so behind on correcting stuff- ACK!! And then while they're nice and we get 1/2 day tomorrow, we still start in the AM...I thought we had all voted to start in the pm so we could sleep in. I'm going to get home at 10 tonight, ugh.

THEN, the idiot engine light went out in my car and so I took it to the mechanics to have that fixed...300 gone. Yesterday I was on the freeway and my car started 'screaming'! Then thunking really loudly...so I pull over and the tires were fine. So I looked in the hood (like I would recognize something wrong!!) and then I looked under the car...it's a VW and they have these 'protection covers' under the engine...well it was pretty mangled and I had been dragging it down the freeway. Grr...they didn't bolt it back up, right? So I went back to the mechanics and they took it off (of course claiming that I had driven over something- uh huh). I'm just going to leave it off because it's not a necessary feature and everytime I get my oil changed I have to pay extra because of the extra chore they have to remove it and put it back. But I have to find yet another mechanic! I always have something go wrong at the mechanics and I don't like to go back. (Previously when I had my tune up, they only put in three spark plugs)!

Am I done? Yeah, I think so! Happy WEdnesday everyone!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your yucky day! Cars stink! I mean, they're good obviously but what a source of headaches they can be! And I don't trust mechanics at all so I feel for you!

Hoping your Wednesday gets better!

I'm gonna add to them.

I'm "blushing" not because I'm embarrassed but because my eyes are red and watery, my nose is running, I'm sneezing, I can't breathe, my glands are swollen - - the red puffy cheeks seemed appropriate! My allergies are kicking my butt! That's my main Wednesday woe!

I'm SO with you on the car thing. My truck is sucking, big time right now. It needs a new something. Brakes, rotors, callipers, something with the brakes - and I REFUSE to put money into it since I'm going to be trading it in AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Which isn't soon enough!

My other Wednesday Woe is a good thing - in some ways - but it means coming up with some sort of solution. I won't have one on Friday - I'm sure - but I need one fairly soon. And I'm hoping y'all will have some brilliant suggestions.

Ok - here's the deal. We live in a 3 bedroom house. TT and I have a room, Alex has a room, Jojo has a room. PROBLEM. BOTH of TT's kids have decided that they are going to come out for the ENTIRE summer. They are both going to get jobs where TT works at the pool. They can make alot more money here than they can in the Midwest, and they both think it will be fun to spend the summer out here with us. We can't wait and are VERY excited to have them both. Problem. Where are we going to put an 18 year old guy and a 16 year old girl? We've already decided that for the summer - we'll put Jojo and Alex in the same room - which will be difficult on the weekends cause Jojo won't be able to play while Alex is sleeping. And Jillian can have Jojo's room. And what to do with Ryan? He could be in the living room - which we never use - but there is NO privacy there. It would be ok for a week but for the whole summer? We have one of those stupid open floor plans where the entire upstairs looks right down on the living room. And NO closet space. And no bathroom downstairs. WHERE are we gonna put Ryan?

Anyone have any brilliant ideas???? And no, moving is not an option!

Why can't the teens split up and share rooms with the younger kids and 'bond'?? And why can't they share a room if there are twin beds?

Wednesday Woes?? Hmph, guess who's short $300 for rent for April? Yep, the first time this has ever happened to me. I've never had this problem. And for some strange reason, I'm in a snowball effect. It keeps getting bigger and bigger. As much as I don't want to do it, I may have to borrow from ex...I'm sure he will help me, but there may be a price to pay! If you knwo what I mean. All I can do is tell him I can't and hope he undestands....YES, I mean sex. His logic, $400 for sex is a godd exchange. I COULD NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT....oooooo YUCK.

How does a tent sound? LOL, Just kidding. Well try roll away beds, that way they can be in the living room or wherever and can be put away during the day. It's not tough as much as it's inconvenient and seems like more work. Well at least the summer doesn't last forever. ~pat

ewwww...sticky wicket.

If you could use screens or curtains (hung from ceiling) to divide one of the bedrooms, or a corner of the living room. Or a tent in the living room. :) Seriously though, I put a curtain up in the girls room, hung it from plant hooks in the ceiling, so they would have some privacy.

You could rig something attractive with brass curtain rods and put material over it and hanging down the sides to make him a kind of private area for sleeping and changing. Have you asked him what he thinks he needs?

I like those ideas...am I missing something like how to see the posts listed in some other order than 1,2, 3, 4, 5, etc.?

If you click "outline view" at the top of the page, you can see an outline similar to our old board except w/out the icons and it will be the WHOLE board. But at least you can tell which response is to which post. Hope that helps!
