I'm walkin' on sunshine, whoa... I'm walkin' on sunshine.... and it's time to feel good!
What a great day! The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. I think that's literal as well as metaphorical in my case.
I've been working 12 hour days with no break, but today I only worked 10 and got a lunchbreak. On my break, I went shopping for some of the things we'll need for our trip to Disney.
I definitely needed the retail therapy! I got a ton of sutff- lots of clothes for both kids, including two t-shirts for Droid that he loves (one is my favorite, it's a screenprint of the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" monkeys, but it says "see no sister, hear no sister, speak no sister" and it's adorable, and so *him*) as well as new luggage for our trip. I also got all the little things you need- shampoo, soap, etc...and it was so much fun! One of the best parts is that I didn't spend nearly as much as I was planning on spending, and there's not much more that I need to get.
funnyguy and I have been seeing each other very regularly, and talking on the phone and via IM, and all is well there- still happy when I think of him. Monday I had a horrible day at work, so he brought me more roses Monday night, we simply talked and laughed. Tonight he brought his dog (shephard, rlch) over to visit, and Droid fell in love. Evidently I'm a hit with the dog, which is a good thing.
It hit me today as I was walking out of the store that I was excited for the kids to see what I got them, and was excited to share my wonderful day with funnyguy. I haven't ever really *wanted* to share something so fun and simple with someone other than my girlfriends and family, so this was a new experience for me.
funnyguy had a long day at work, and when he came over, I asked him how his day was. He replied, "getting better by the second". awwww. He's very sweet, but he's also not in any way a pushover- and that's the major reason why I'm so drawn to him.
His personality matches mine so well- we really could be extensions of each other, and I like that a lot.
Work went amazingly well today, and between the shopping, the excitement the kids displayed when I gave them their new stuff, and the visit from funnyguy, it was simply a wonderful, wonderful day.
Moody, who is floating rather than walking on sunshine

Sheesh - now you got ME floating on air. You can FEEL your happiness thru your post! Whoo Hoo!
& roflmao about letting me know what KIND of pup!
Glad to hear that you and funnyguy are so similar. How cool!! You don't sound like you have any hesitation at all... How cool that is, also.... i guess you've finally stopped thinking too much. Keep it up!! What a great post. Have a great weekend!!
Love,
Loonybunny
Loony, you're absolutely right. I'm not thinking any more- there's nothing to think about. funnyguy is just right. The whole situation is simply right.
We've spent a lot of time together, but also a lot of time talking to one another. We're really just enjoying getting to know one another, and there's absolutely nothing for me to BE hesitant about. He's great, and I feel great when we're together and when I think of him.
As for the similarities- some of them are simply uncanny. Our birthdays are the same day, we have the same job description, we both come from large extended families (our mothers each have 9 brothers and sisters, 3 of whom are deceased and our fathers each have 2...how odd!) and each have one brother. We even have a mole on our faces in exactly the same place. He drives a HUGE black truck, I drive a tiny white car. The things about us that are different are completely opposite, and to us, that's hilarious.
We even both planned our vacations to the same place- seperately and before we knew each other. It's hard to describe the male me, but funnyguy could be it. The kids have met him and like him, and we're simply coasting along enjoying things. There's no need to think or rush or worry- we're just enjoying.
Moody, still floating

That's just plain freaky, the similarities that you guys have! Even more freaky than Hiker and I having the same last 3 letters to our license plates. Can you just hear the twilight zone music playing?!?? ;-)
**edited to add- that because you have the same birthday, I'm sure people will joke that you are twins, separated at birth!
Enjoy the ride, and I hope you wake up one morning and realize it's been going on for years! And that it's been easy all the time, all along!
