To not fill this up with SOOO much background but to give a little bit so this all makes sense:
-about 8 mths ago, my license plate was stolen and the Cst who handled the case was cute, friendly and flirty. I was dating someone at the time (which he subtly fished around or so I thought) so that was that. The thief was caught, Cst. If this were me I would go with West's response: Thanks for looking into your schedule, but no worries. Next time! Thanks also for all your help recently. And leave it at that. My gut says that he would or will bring up "another time" if he is interested.
It would not hurt to drop him an email on the the status of things next week and maybe a brief one about how the exibit goes but not mentioning going out. Then leave it up to him! Just my 2 cents :o) Good luck!
I agree, that definitely set up my red flags and I was like "Say wha----??" I worried all sorts of scenarios:
1. he does this kind of thing a lot and will come here expecting sex
2. he's testing me to see if I take him up on his offer to come to the house, then he'll assume I'm after him for sex
3. he doesn't consider this a "date" at all and it will be strictly to do with my board complaint etc.
LOL Yup I hear ya, I wondered about it too and definitely didn't expect him to offer to come to the house while on shift.
