It'll start early (always makes the weekend seem longer if I have something fun Friday night) by going to a "cuban fiesta" tonight. My Sunday school class the past 8 weeks has been a Missions study about Cuba, and we're having a party to top things off. We signed up on a list of "typical" Cuban foods to bring. It will be fun, great group of people in my class. I'm taking the latin music and fruit dish.
Saturday night the iglesia is going out together for Chinese food! That should be a hoot. 15 of us in a van and I won't understand half of what's said. :) But it will be great fun. I'm going to ask the pastor some questions if I can get him aside. One of the men didn't want to tell me he had a son when we were introduced, and the pastor said something about "it's a cultural thing, if a man is trying to win a woman's heart, he doesn't want her to think of him as having been with anyone else."...I gotta find out a little more about that. ;)
Tomorrow probably going to sleep in and then get ready and hit the road. Run some errands. Find out where and HOW to apply for a home loan. Start the process officially. (I have to do some phone calling for this today in preparation)
After that, don't know. Might get my sewing machine fixed and start a project.
Sunday early service at church, and then dinner for J's grandmother's birthday (94!) at Carabbas. (YUM!) and then the big football game (Go COLTS!!!!) and then relax and catch up on laundry for the next week.
Ugh, my weekend seems short already and it hasn't even started!!! ;)
My whole family is dying! We are all sick, but can you believe it! It would be this weekend that it had to happen! Of course! My name is Murphy! ARGH! BECAUUUUUUUSE: tomorrow night we are going to the Ballet to see Swan Lake. The Russian Ballet is performing it in Frankfurt. It'll be my daughters first Ballet. So I thought we would do it right. The tickets cost me 250 dollars. It was a Christmas gift to my Mother and Alex. Nina will be staying with her father until it's over.
Tonight: Home and rest up Tomorrow: get ready for the ballet, then the ballet Sunday: Rest up again
Yes m'am. Saturday, spending the day with my dd who just turned 11. I think we're going to the pottery place to do some painting. She likes to do that. So that's kind of our "girl day" for her birthday. Sunday, I am going to the AFC Divisional Playoff game where my Pats will be doing it again. ;) Just got my tickets and I have awesome seats so I am so excited. big tailgating party beforehand, can't wait! ;)
So I'm looking forward to a good weekend! Hope you all have a great one! Tara
Tonight I might see a movie or go shopping - exh has ds - but I have to be to bed early because...
Sat early AM I have a 10 mile run with my coach - we are training for a half marathon together
Saturday night not sure - ds is back with me but going to a birthday party (drop off) with a friend - I might try to throw a game party at my house or hook up with a bunch of single friends to watch the game
Sunday - another run with my coach and riding my bike - maybe with my son
I have to clean the house and look into why the garage door is not working.
Where are my tickets??? LOL... I want to go so badly but....I have not tickets... I will be routing for them with you but at home in front of widescreen TV... The boys and girls will get into it too...
