It's Just Lunch?

have you gals heard of itsjustlunch.com? Apparently it's a dating service for working professionals. I heard an advertisement for it on the radio recently, and not too long ago I saw an ad for in the inflight magazine on Alaska Airlines. Just wondering if anyone's looked into them or if there is any feedback?

Gabriella,
I saw an ad for it on the airplane (flight magazine) so I did look into it.
It has a lot of complaints in consumer affairs - it seems that they charge $1000 or more and many people are very dissatisfied with the matches they receive and they don't get a refund.

I think it is no different from doing match.com - except you pay a LOT more and get far fewer matches.
The concept is good - too bad it isn't more of a social thing for many people instead of a matching service.

My sister did it in Boston and a friend who works for Microsoft did it here. Both found it to be quite expensive and didn't think they were good at making matches--they felt they just got matched up with men randomly based solely on age. Kind of like your friends setting you up with a guy just because the two of you are both single ;-), but a lot more costly!

The feedback I've gotten on them is that they are really expensive and there are way more women than men at the events (so it's a great place for men but not for women ;-)).
Are you looking for suggestions for a friend here in Seattle? There's a similar event company in Seattle that doesn't charge a membership fee: www.spacecitymixer.com. I've been to a number of their events and even dated someone I met at one of them for a few months. I need to get out and do more of them...maybe one of the kayaking trips!
I was also a member of the Mountaineers for a few years and participated in their singles events (hikes, etc) but didn't have a great experience...way more women than men, and many of the men were a little odd ;-).

LOL Sheri! One of my good friends met her current SO at the Mountaineers club. I would agree that he's a little odd ;), but she loves him... sigh
I have a few single friends who are looking to try something just for fun. Thanks for the tips!
Oh that's too funny about him being a little odd!
Definitely send your friends the link for the Space City Mixer events...I've met some cool people there (mostly women, but hey, it's always fun to make new friends!).
