LOL!! you ladies sure did have fun around here today - holy cow - we have all sorts of updates and gangsta cats and just silly craziness!! I have been laughing out loud!! We needed this!!

As for me..... I have been up to no good!

But not that fun type of no good. Not yet anyway!! LOL!!

Let's see - last week there was the Norwegian Hottie. Then there were 2 bachelors on my 3 mile ocean swim - both like to ride bikes - but both are 40+ never married - but they could have some leeway on that issue because of their common interests. Except we don't really have plans to do anything anytime soon. They do have my number though - because all of us who swam exchanged numbers.

Then there were the dads on the football field last night - 2 were without rings - but very busy with the boys so no chatting or eye contact. I did have a laugh at the coach - he is this huge manly man type that reminds me of Burt Reynolds (he is married) and he told me not to run with my son because women run slow and I might make DS slow. I wanted to deck him! Because my son runs 5 miles with me and has gotten really strong and was one of the fastest boys on the field and was strong the whole 2 hour workout in the heat - they are even making him wide receiver - which I have no idea what that is - but DS is over the moon! I just think the coach knows nothing about running or endurance sports - but that is okay - he is nice to my boy and made him wide receiver so he doesn't get decked. for now.

Then I was a bit of a wild girl today. I bought a boat! Seriously - I got a great deal on a kayak for me and DS. And I am talking to the KayakMan again.

You would crack up if you saw me - the boat is too big for me to get off my SUV since I am not yet experienced with that - and so it is going to stay on top of the car until my lesson on Saturday. I am terrified to take it down by myself. And KayakMan wants to paddle on Saturday after my lesson. So will see how that goes.

The other boys - the dogs - just finished a huge romp around the yard - complete with digging a hole in the blackest dirt, which became mud and got tracked all over. I managed to clean their paws of that - but now they are wet and in my bed playing and in a ruckus. It is just them and me around here - and I quite like that now.

DS is away now for almost 3 weeks. Usually I welcome the break but this year I really didn't want him to go.

It is sort of like an ocean kayak - but can pretty much go anywhere - it is a lightweight recreational one that can be used for ocean, touring, lakes, slow rivers - no whitewater.

My car is very tall - so I have to learn to "get it up" so to speak - hahaha!! I think I can usually find someone around here to do that.

Glad to hear you got one, too!!

I do love to take outdoor photographs so I was thinking this would be a fun way for me to have more adventures - and DS is getting one as well - Kayakman is getting us a super deal on one so when DS returns we will have something fun to do together.

I've always wanted to go kayak camping where you follow along a waterway and camp along the way.

You do sound so happy and good with life. I love the image of little you trying to wrestle the big kayak on top of your SUV!! hehe....and you're keeping it there till your next lesson LOL!

I know you have no expectations about any one in particular but I like how you'll be getting to see kayakman for a lesson, who knows maybe you two will hit it off!!

I am!

I think I have just tired of the "online dating" grind and blind dates and disappointed hopes and the pressures and all of that stuff. And never mind the winks and stupid notes from the losers that couldn't even hope to get through the screening process of the PP. Tattoos? Motorcycles? Redneck dirty t-shirts? Excess baggage? Drinks too much????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEK!!

So, I have taken the route of getting out of the house more and doing more things (hence the kayak fun) and making a better effort to strike up conversation (Norwegian Hottie Experiment) - and I am having fun.

I also don't mind being alone - a funny story is that last night the dogs took a huge swim and scamper in the yard while I was on the phone with KayakMan. I mean they made a right mess - dirt and all. I ended up marching them through their wading pool and into the house. They were soaked - and I managed to dry them.

Well the bad busters disappeared - and I did find them - they were in my bed! Soaked!! And I was too tired to do anything but join them - and I started singing the wheels on the bus to them and we all fell asleep!! Someone had sent me a video of a guy who sings to puppies to put them to sleep and so I tried that here. And it worked for all of us! I had to come up with a canine edition of the wheels on the bus. What a riot!!

And I did have a tuna sandwich for dinner.

The PP is happy and clean and quiet.

I think I like the idea of activity partners with qualified prospects and then see where it goes. I feel like I have a lot on the string - and am having fun - no loneliness or pressure or "date express" where you have to meet someone and then create a relationship with a stranger.

And KayakMan is turning out to have some nice qualities.

So, we shall see!!

Well, it's nice to get out and have FUN without the added pressures of dating.
