Just having fun?

Okay girls, as you know, that bad MsAlison, my co-cl, has somehow convinced me to try online dating again.

You always hear me say how sick of it I got from a few years back where I just did too much of it. I must say there are a LOT more people on there now. Some that give me the eebie jeebies and others that are okay. Some are actually hot - but most of them don't live near me.

For some reason now I do not have any expectations. I don't really think I will find anyone to date but am having a few laughs and some email banters. I think I just don't want to get my hopes up and get disappointed.

Plus, since I have become so athletic and on a competitive level and with a killer coach who believes in hours and hours and miles and miles, for the first time in my life I have felt really really lucky to be single. I mean, compared to my life with my exh, I get away with murder!! LOL!! If you look around my house right now, there are running shoes on the TABLE - HORRORS! Because I don't want the puppies to chew them. I could go on and on.

Anyway, I even find myself emailing back guys I really don't think are a match just for the fun and entertainment of it. One just asked me if I want to come and ride my bike with him - of course near HIS house and he lives an hour away. Jerk! But I just said - oh thanks - that is nice of you but I don't get down there that much. HA!

Now another one who is quite hot wants to know what I think of us being a 100% match on match.com. Truth be told I think he is a little too adult-like meaning child-free in his lifestyle. He lives in the number one beach bachelor place in clubtown USA - has never had kids and has travelled all over the world - is into skydiving and all sorts of exotic pursuits. Now I am the adventurous type but if you look at his pix and see what he has to say, I don't see how I could do all that plus what I like and raise a kid too. And never mind that he lives farther away than the cyclist who wants me to drive over an hour to ride with him. After 2 emails he is asking me if I think he is the one? OMG... but at least he loves my eyes.

There are guys emailing me from all over the country. Usually it is delete delete delete. But sometimes I email them. What the heck, right?

There is one that caught my eye - I think I mentioned him yesterday. He only writes back late at night - and you never know - maybe he won't write back after yesterday.

Maybe the good thing about my coach giving me the hours and hours and miles and miles is that I don't get so stressed over anything anymore - I don't have the energy. My last message to him was "2t2t" - meaning too tired to type. And that is what he likes to see!! LOL!!

I'm glad bad Alison got you doing OLD again! It sounds like you're having fun, even if you aren't actually dating yet, and as you know, your own busy life will make you happy. You aren't going into this with any expectations because you're happy on your own, and that's the most attractive quality a person can have!

Moody, also happy (but not quite as busy) on her own
