I think it was the picture of him on the bike that got them going, too!! What a riot you are with the whole thing, rlch!! I mean we all drooled over him the first time you posted his picture. And then every time you publish a good story we all like him.

But what I am getting here - is that the issue is not just that he is is not worldly - but he actually says thing that are prejudiced - or non-tolerant - which is a real turnoff - it is his outlook. And then there is the worry of the exwives and how they were treated.

And then there is the issue of not knowing where you stand with him and not really wanting him that way anyway - so the whole thing is a moot point and just an issue with us and the office staff. LOL!! :-)

But some fun fodder at any rate - I have enjoyed reading the whole thread. I guess we have to go through this exercise from time to time so you can remind us of why he is not the one. It is just that you write the nicest things about him and how he helps around the house so much and how he is good about going to his kids functions and how he has been understanding and supportive with Taz and then the pic of him riding the bike with Avery. So then we get excited but then you remind us of what you see/hear/feel in person that makes it not quite right for you.

I was thinking of starting a new thread for must have's and can't stands - because that is fun for us to write. EH does a great job at facilitating the making of those - because they give you a list of 50 of each - and you have to narrow down to 10 of each so you focus on the most important.

I also watched a very neat video on the cloudtownsend.com site that explained how to focus on the most important things and what they deemed important versus the nice to have fluff or stuff that is unattainable. They also had a list on love killers which was a really important list I had never read before.

This week they have an excellent video for single parents here:

  • One of the principle factors in marital happiness is that both partners feel that got a great deal - neither one feels they settled.

  • I LOVE THIS - and the great thing for me is it is true for me and I am confident he thinks so too.

"Dating wisdom embroidered on my pillow:

    * One of the principle factors in marital happiness is that both partners feel that got a great deal - neither one feels they settled.
    * If all we wanted to do was to get married, none of us would still be single."

Your pillow should be framed - too bad we can't have it for the top of this site! Good stuff!! As usual!!

I thought you would like that - that little snippet was also in the book about 100 women who married a second time later in life and found happiness - they said get a great life and then find a great man and work him into it.
