I've been reading and trying to follow along with all of you who are fiddling with OLD and dating. Going through some good dates as well as bad ones. But having some neat stories to share, for sure (and thanks for sharing them!)!
One thought struck me as I read each one- that I just have to applaud all of you for your courage to "get out there" and keep trying. It's a struggle sometimes, but the benefits are there. If anything- it's good practice in how to approach people, how to handle social situations, how to know yourself and what you want and don't want in a partner... and there's nothing wrong with any of that! Even if the dates can be discouraging or the process frustrating... I'm just glad that you're all trying and staying so positive.
I know I have had my time spent "playing" in OLD too- but if I didn't have Hiker right now, I'm not sure if I'd have the energy or desire to play again. But it's like the lottery... if you don't play, you CAN'T win. So if you don't find some way to get out there and meet people, then you just won't ever meet anyone. Whether it be in local circles IRL or online... I'm proud of you all for getting out there!

I have to agree with both of you the courage everyone has from what Ive read with the online dating is amazing....... there are always bad that goes with the good I guess. I definately love reading all the post-date updates. I have tried somemany times to be that brave just cant get the courage...... so yes you should each applaud yourselves.
