Thanks for asking, it really means a lot!

I have a free consulation with the new lawyer on Tuesday. I explained my situation to him over the phone (briefly) and he thinks he can help. This man also goes to church with me, and was very upset at my previous lawyers way of dealing with my divorce and custody thing.

Anyway...my uncle is the mayor of the town where I live. It just so happens that he knows the judge that hasn't signed my decree yet. He told me that he would call him and see what's going on. He said he would get back to me in a couple of days, so hopefully all will go well.

My state representatives office basically told me that they couldn't help me with anything since it has already gone to court. I find that to be a little absurd since the state rep is higher up than a circuit judge. However, they did tell me by keeping my papers from me is not legal.

I get my dd back tomorrow at 9am and I can't wait! Last night I had horrible dreams that something happened to her, or she was very sick, and no one called me about it. I figure if something did happen to her no one in my ex's family would even think to notify me (that's how mean they are)! I will get dd from Saturday morning to Thursday night, and then she's only with my exh for one night next week. I'm just hoping and praying that I get my other visitation schedule SOON! Hopefully the new lawyer will be able to get things done.

Thanks for the support though! I haven't felt as strong as I should be right now. I've spent many days this week just crying my eyes out. I love my baby and it kills me for her to be gone for so long. I just feel like everything has drained out of me, but I'm trying so hard!

Thanks again,
Kait

By him having those DUIs and a suspended license you may be able to stop unsupervised visitation.

I am so glad you are getting a new lawyer. You have really done your homework with everything - good that you made all of those calls.

I know this is tough now but I also know you are going to come shining through and be really strong and wise and assertive. I also have faith that you will get things more to your DD's advantage and to your liking.

Hang in there - you have come a long way and we all really care about you - I think about you every day when I check the board. Hopefully most of the poopy is behind you.

I'm so excited about dd coming home that I can't sleep! I feel like she's been gone FOREVER!

I can't even begin to tell you how much you all mean to me. Just knowing that you all are here and thinking about me and my dd means the world to me. In all honesty, I can't even think of the words to tell you have truly heart felt all of your thoughts and kind words mean to me. You are all an inspiration!

And I want you all to know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers as well!

Hugs and Happy New Year's!

Kait,

(((((HUGS)))))

We all care because you and your dd are going through so much at the hands of your ex and most of us have been there, done that already and can really relate.

I picked her up this morning. My ex didn't show up due to his DUI's (we have to meet at the police station) but his dad did. When I got her in my arms we just hugged and hugged and hugged. Then she started kissing me - it was sweet and very cute. His dad said that they didn't use her cream b/c they figured corn starch would be better for her. I told him that I would be documenting that they ignored doctor's orders and refused to use her antibiotic cream. He didn't reply. Needless to say her bottom is raw, she was smelly, and very tired. When we got home I gave her a bath, cleaned her up, and she fell asleep - for almost 5 hours! Poor little things wa exhausted! But she's home now! I have my lawyer appt Tuesday, so hopefully all will go well!

Thank goodness she is home and safe in your arms.

I think you handled that just fine.

I know they are frustrating you - but they are giving you important fodder for the case to go in your favor. Please find a lawyer that will believe in you and go to bat for you and DD and get this done right for DD.

Keep us posted.
