ok, so I know this isn't the place to put my normal non-dating stories, but I kind of having an interesting new thing man related, thanks tooooooo ALISON.
Heres' the scoop. She got me thinking about how she reconnected with S from school.

Soooo, I started my own facebook and omgosh, I met up with so many friends from school that I've been trying to search for FOREVER. It's been so awesome! I have like over two dozen friends either back in San Antonio or in the near vacinity. They are all pulling me to get back to Texas and I'm seriously seriously considering it now. I toyed with it during the summer, but now I think I'm so ready, because I can plan better and not feel so pressured about the what if of the job.
I'm unsure if my sister is very excited, because I totally let her down two weeks before moving by telling her I'll hold off, so now I told her I'm really going to begin taking action of a plan and she wasn't as excited. I think she is just going to do the wait and see factor and that is totally ok. It takes a few announcements from me, to finally make the leap.
Anywhoooo, I've been totally keeping track with my friends and we are making all these plans for the holidays, since i'll be in Texas during that time and doing interviews. One of our friends and I'm not sure how it all started, but one of the guys on facebook, who I went to school with, but didn't know then, had a pic of germany on his board and we got to talking. Well, since then we've been emailing almost every day for the last 4 days. He seems very nice and my friends adore him, which means I'll like him up front and center too. Anyway, it's not a huge deal or am I even thinking about anything, but I found it interesting about how we met. Online, but not online. Ya know? We think it's great to get know one another over email for the next two months by just becoming friends and then he keeps saying: who knows. I tell him not to read into emails, because it can cause both parties to be disillusioned, but positive side, we can learn about each other more before we meet. We all have a holiday reunion planned, so of course he'll be their with all of my other friends. I just found it cool and maybe a way to reconnect with someone is an idea that someone else can use. HOWEVER, stay away from the married. Make sure single is listed. :)

How wonderful and the timing could not be better. I am a firm believer everything happens for a reason. I bet you will be thankful things went the way they did with the man you were dating!

speaking of facebook... i had high school friend hound me for months saying EVERYONE from HS was over there and not myspace anymore... so i just created an account yesterday.

oh my, i got over a dozen requests from HS friends but also from all the meetuppers here in town. i feel so loved. is facebook really better? looks like such a different universe and LESS private. everything you do gets put on the news flash part of the page.

so glad you are reconnecting with old friends. it's a great feeling.

Loony, you can decide who can see your info though...you can only let FB friends see it, friends of friends, everybody, etc. So if you set it to "friends" only those you approve/accept as friends will see it. And people cannot see anything if you're set to private/friends.
