Gave me a big kiss, ran to play with the girls, and turned around and waved "BYE MOMMY! Baby pway, pway!!!!!" (means Alex, play, play).

Hi Kim!

He started an at home day care on Monday. TT and I checked out 5 in home day cares (after I called 27 - 27!) and two "regular" day cares, and just absolutely LOVE the home we chose for him.

We went with L. L has been doing in home day care for 20 years. She has more education in child care, child development, first aid, etc., than anyone I know. All of her references (one of them parents of a 14 year old and 12 year old) couldn't stop telling us how wonderful she is. How perfect it would be for him. She has two adult daughters - the one lives at home and is pre-med. She's awesome! She serves as L's backup in case of emergencies. I really, really like L. TT and I were impressed with her immediately. She has 4 other kids, all girls, two 4 month old infants and 2 18 month olds. That wasn't the mix of kids we were hoping for. But you know what? It's PERFECT for him. The little girls are both starting to talk, and are at the same place as Alex is communication wise. Alex can say L's name. He has seriously come home with two or three new words every night. I pick him up and he's relaxed, happy, and playing. NOT in a rush to leave. And this morning, day 5, no tears!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm SO GLAD I went with my gut and jerked him out of that first day care as quickly as I did. I'm SO GLAD that we took some time in calling people and interviewing people and that we found a home and a person that we just think is PERFECT for him. I can't tell you how THRILLED we are.

Yes, it is. She rocks. She simply rocks. I just got off the phone with her and she said that the little girls are starting to say "Kank you!" like Alex! ROTFLMAO!!!!!! Cracks me up.

She is awesome. It's such a great setting for him!
