Manic Monday
Find a Conversation

Ah, what a difference a day makes. Today was a bad day. I blew up at a coworker for shoving her responsiblities on me. What makes it worse is that she is a very good friend of mine. We ended up not speaking, which at the time didn't bother me. I felt horrible this evening and ended up calling her. She didn't answer, which I expected, but I left a heartfelt message. Hopefully that'll all work out.
So I ceased contact with my possible date that was set up by my coworker. He was upset with me for not meeting this weekend, (which I had the kids all weekend). He was cold when we spoke Saturday night. I figured it was just his way of letting me know he wasn't interested. Good news is he called last night and asked me if I ever was going to call him back. I explained to him how, in my experience, that when men don't want contact they'll leave subtle clues, like the coldness in our last conversation. He told me, if he didn't want to talk to me then he would tell me so. Yes, he was upset we couldn't get together, but still wanted to talk. I was shocked that someone could be so honest. So we had a wonderful conversation.
So all in all it was a manic monday. I did look forward to reading the board and see how all of you were doing!

Glad that YOU could be so honest and real with this potential date. That's a good foot to start on. I hate game playing and keeping stuff to yourself. Some things are appropriate to withhold at first, but not knowing for SURE if someone is interested in seeing you is not one of them.
Sorry about your blowout with a co-worker. I've been having a rough go of it here myself (except that the co worker I am having issues with is most definitely not a good friend of mine) and we actually had to sit down in a meeting with our boss and try to work through some of the issues. He steals my responsibilities (and stomps all over my toes) constantly because I don't do things the way he wants me to. Or quickly enough. Or organized enough. BUT, he is NOT MY BOSS so it'd none of his bloomin' business unless I truly mess up one of his jobs.
Exasperating.
I hope you're able to patch things up. And at least it's not Monday anymore!
Sorry to hear about your bad day Monday. That is poopy!! :-(
BUT the phone call with the guy sounded good!!
"He told me, if he didn't want to talk to me then he would tell me so." I would tell him I want that in WRITING!! LOL!! JUST KIDDING!!
It is great that you could be straight from the hip with him.
Keep us posted!!
