I read a couple of the Love Languages books, and also read the one for children.

Thanks for posting and the acknowledgment. My receiving Love Language is touch. I grew up with Acts of Service and in some ways I do that as my primary giving Love Language.

I work on touching with my children and I do crave back-and-forth touch with a partner.

What is your's for giving and receiving?

same here for me - without doubt touch is my primary receiving.

It is a great book and concept, isn't it? It really teaches us that we come from our own blueprints and we wear our own unique pair of glasses to see the world. It makes all the difference when we realize that our partner might be percieving things differently. It shows that no one is wrong...only different. I loved that book- its helped me a lot.

Mine would be touch, followed by acts of service.

For some reason I can identify someone's 'giving' language pretty easily, but have a hard time identifying the 'receiving' language (often, two different things).
