Did you get it all moved? Other than the financial crap your dad is putting you thru, how's the rest?
Our's is going well. I tackled the kitchen first. That's the hardest room so I knew if I got it done, I'd have an easier time with the rest. THe beds were put up right away and we had clean sheets before we moved out so we didn't have to worry about all of that. I did have to send Shane out to the store to get a dryer exhaust hose because mine was missing. My set was in storage a year because we had a stackable set that I hated in our rental house. So glad to have my extra capacity set back. The kitchen is beautiful! I want to paint other rooms and it turns out I will have to do more painting that I planned because the idiots that owned this house before is put screws in the walls to hang pictures and they are not small one's. BIG screws! Big screw make big holes and I use only those picture hangers, so I will need to do some spackling once we're back on our feet from Shane's job loss. That has caused us stress too. It's hard to move in and be motivated to do much when you're worried about that.
I thought Dylan's room would be easy, but he has more toys than I thought. But he's gone for the week so I can do his room. I might go ahead and paint his. He deserves a nice surprise when he gets back. And a new room for Christmas would be just his thing!
Anyway, let me know how things are for you. I'd love to hear about how cute you got this place set up.

Hey Mel---
Im all moved in and comfy cozy. My boys too are away for a week and am getting them new bunk beds twin over twin -- so Im busy searching for those. I got a canopy bed and beautiful comforter bed set and I have a GROWN up room and LOVE it -its gorgeous!! I need to take pics... Jerry helped me and says that all my watching of Trading spaces is paying off LOL I cant paint "my" walls like you can so Im kinda bummed about that but its turning out well. I love it. Only downfall is my commute to work. Today I had worst of the worst scenario to start out with. WE had freezing rain here and it took me 3 HOURS to get to work YUCK!!! Normally it will take 45 minutes to an hour.
I am so sorry about all your stress with hubbys job and everything what a pain. You need to be relaxing dear lady. Especially with the pregnancy! How is THAT going? Feeling the baby move alot? I have a freind who is due April 27th - she is having a boy and says she feels the baby moving alot.
My kitties are a challenge too. At the other house I had a basement I could put them in at night. That isnt a option at the new place so they want to sleep with me and the 2 of them do not get along so I hear litteral cat fights througout the night ughhh.
Other than this I am happy its all done. AND thankful that Jerry and his son Joe helped with all the heavy furniture. My mom and dad and my best freind helped with boxes the day before. I was sad to lock and close the door on the old house. 10 years I lived there...
Anyway thanks for checking in and try and enjoy creating your surroundings-- thats the FUN part :) AND hey watch Trading spaces for ideas during your breaks LOL
HUGS!!!

Yeah, I watch it daily and I love Trading Spaces. I am getting my paint ideas for the living room from Frank. He's a master at faux finishing. So I am doing a great glaze treatment on the walls in there to look aged to go with our suede furniture. But only after the holidays when Shane's pay balances out and we are better off. I can wait. Too tired right now anyway.
Yeah, Emily is kicking up a storm. Strong enough now to see her moving. It's pretty cool. I had forgotten how that felt. But I have to get up when she gets too active because it usually lulls her to rest if I move around a bunch. Sitting still just gets her going. LOL! She's already keeping me going!
Glad to hear the house is coming along. Ours is too. And the job situation will be fine for Shane. I hate to hear your commute sucked, but in bad weather, that just is a part of it. I remember living in NY. But they at least knew how to plow so we could drive. Can't complain about that. And let the kitties get used to the new place and living arrangements. They will settle in too. Our puppy is new to us and he hates going outside, but he's a Rottweiler, so he's just gonna have to suck it up and learn that outside is his home. He's going to be too big to be inside soon.
I'll take pics soon. I don't want to take any of it while it's still in progress. But I can't wait much longer. I'm too excited about getting it done!
