"I'm glad I went and it turns out a few of them live really close to me, which is very cool."

WOW Liz - that is huge - I know you have been all alone with just you and DD for so long - and it means a lot to you to get out and meet new friends especially in a new place. I am happy for you - and may you have many more fun meetups and make more friends!! What a great idea - I bet it is just like being there with all of us!!

Keep us posted!!

It sounds like fun Loiz. I hope you can make some good friends.
What a pity about the sunburn though.

No, there were some dads there too with their kids and one who didn't have his son, but he's the meetup organizer.

Woohooo, Liz!!! Never a bad thing, to find more mom friends! And kid friends for the kids, too! I don't have any single mom friends that have kids my kids' age. My best friend just got divorced so she's single again, but her daughter is 16. It's still hard to think of her as being single as they were married for 20 yrs... and he was hardly ever active in their activities, so I didn't see him around much. She has been "single" for a long time already, sad to say.
