Men and Hardware Stores...

Ok, so since I moved into my house almost two weeks ago (Sunday), I have to go to the hardware store almost every day. OKKKKKKK, I don't have to go, but I seem to have a buying bug right now. I've been working on simutaneous projects and as soon as I get a hair brain idea, I'm off to the Home Depot. Sometimes even twice a day.
Yes, I know, sounds fishy...
But it is a funny place to meet men. I haven't yet, but I'll make eye contact and smile when they look at me and then I move on. Although, i have to admit that half the time it's only because I am covered in cement, dirt or carrying hardware tools in my short shorts and tiny t-shirts. LOL. I am working with a lot of dirt and cement so I don't want to wear something I need, so I wear my old grubby stuff in the heat. I'm not going to change to look like I am dressed for the prom when I need to get something, but I am sure I look sexy to a man when I'm covered in sweat, dirt, sexy sunglasses

did you see the movie "Must Love Dogs"?... in the beginning is the joke where that woman says she likes to go to hardware store to meet men. She'll go around lunch, she said, after having a few drinks and ask a man, where can i get nails. LOL something about liking to drink and being easy... It was a funny joke.
glad to hear you are being productive around the new house. good stuff.
I think I'm with the majority of men that think women are more approachable (and sexy) when they are "grungy," i.e. hair in pony tail in a baseball cap with shorts and a t or tank top.
I like to look at eye candy women but at the end of the day I want a woman that is solid and not a woman who likes to just play with cute guys and have fun.
Of course nobody knows how the wo/man is when they are out and about so it's all a matter of attitude of the pursuer.

I only see men there with their kids. or their wives.
But never with a full set of teeth, LOL.
I did actually get checked out sitting on the bench at Home Depot.
Way to go!
Mine is a rental right now too and I'm thinking I'm already investing way to much into this place, BUT I might be owning one day and I decided I want it to feel like home, not ANOTHER apartment. egad!
Having said that, I just put a huge hole in the wall to hang a heavy picture and as I was doing it at almost midnight, I suddenly had a second of OMG the neighbors beside and below me are going to kill me! Then I thought... WAIT! I'm in a house, I don't have to worry about that anymore.
Bad side about it, we have sooooooooo many trees, trees bring leaves and autumn is just around the corner. The neighbors said ALL the leaves fall. SIGH. I see myself raking, raking, raking. shiver.
The rake broke due to the prior renters, so I guess it's back to Home Depot. LOL
Speaking of nothing being wrong with me. I sent the guy I was seeing briefly a text this evening and letting him know I decided I can't be friends and that I rather have no contact. I deleted his number thereafter.
I guess I need to post and kind of vent what happened, because the longer I putz around the house fixing things, the more I am upset about the turn out of events. Or not even upset, but just purely disappointed.
But never with a full set of teeth, LOL.
ROFL.
I know what you mean.
Sounds like you have the house bug in you!! LOL!! That is great!! You will have to share pix of the fireplace.
