Well...last night the new guy and I went out again. We were going to a bbq at my friends house - but he said that he wanted to make a stop first. Okay - so I thought..lol! Out of the blue he told me that he told his mom about me and that he wanted me to meet her.
First, here's a little background on new guy. He's 32 years old, built and lives in his own house, has an 8 year old son, is very sweet, funny, and just really easy to get along with/be with. But - even with all of that said, I was a little taken aback by him wanting me to meet his mom.
I was nervous (for some reason) but I said that that would be nice. So, we got there, and she was so very nice to me. We chatted and it was really comfortable, no nerves after we started talking. She told me that it was a pleasure to meet me, and that it was about time, considering how much she had heard about me from her son...lol!
So, tonight I went and picked up dd and got a call from new guy. He wanted to know if I wanted to go out to dinner. I got dd ready and met him at his house. I just figured it was going to be us and our kids, but...we went to dinner with his mom and step dad. It was fun to be honest. I wasn't nervous at all, my dd acted like an ANGEL (first time for everything...lol) and we just talked and laughed.
So...this is a little refreshing to me! I'm still going to take it slow, but I must admit, I really do like this guy.
Just thought I'd share...

Kait,
I'm so glad that things are going so well!
And I'm so glad that Leah was so well behaved!
Ohhhh That sounds soo nice! Good for you both! :)
How long have you been seeing him again?
Lisa
I know...he's a cutie! lol
We've been dating for a little over 3 weeks now....it's going pretty well so far!
I'm glad your dd was great during dinner, and I'm glad things are cruising along well for you. But man... if I was seeing someone for less than a month and he was having me meet his parents and having dinner with them... yikes! I think I'd be almost ready to run for the hills! I guess I'm not a girl who's ready to move that quickly. Or maybe I'm just *that old* that meeting parents is not a priority like it might've been when I was younger.
