Ok, my kid was cranky & overtired tonite, so she said some things Im sure she doesnt MEAN ... lol
Its just SO getting to me that she thinks, or at least SAYS she thinks, I'm not "home enough". Tonite she said, while whining about going to bed "I dont want to fight with you anymore" (her tub turned into a miserable time b/c when i went in she had taken the whole rug/bathmat & was sitting on it, IN the tub ... Errrr! & the floor was flooded ... then she wanted a snack & was cranky & she was late getting to bed ... & then her stupid father called & when i handed her the phone, she said "Hi Dadda" & then she responded to him "I *was* going to call you ...." - the freaking JERK calls her like twice in 2 weeks & berates HER for "not calling him", & the conversation, as usual, was about 20 seconds long,

Oh Rebecca, big (((((((((((HUGS))))))))) to you!
Just continue doing as you're doing and in time she'll come around.
Yeah, I will talk to her about that. But i dont think anything the counselor is going to say will be helpful. Guess what happened ... its KIND OF funny. Her counselor suggested when she is upset with her dad, or ANYthing, she can write in her own PERSONAL journal, her feelings. Averey asked "What if i want to write a bad word in it?" & the counselor said "anything you write in there is YOURS- you can say whatever you feel even if its a bad word".
So ..... that session later addressed Moms & Dads dating as being NORMAL. Ave did NOT leave happy.
Oh LOL!
Ok, here's a laugh for you:
This morning I'm sitting on the couch with my laptop on my lap, Nicolas snuggled up beside me... we just finished breakfast and we're watching a bit of tv before getting ready for our day... The tv cartoon has some silly song on it, and I start head-banging my head to be silly... Nicolas feels my movement, but with his head against my arm, he cannot see my head... so he asks, "are you HUMPING the couch?"
LOL!
ROTFL!!!!!!
