Shortcake, "employed full time" was always my criteria, too.
Not only because I expect a man to be self sufficient, but also because I am employed more than full time, and don't feel I'd match well with someone with loads of free time.
I don't think I'm a snob, either, just have certain criteria. We all should, or we'd be dating tons of people we simply aren't compatible with.
So sorry that happened to you. I used to post on the OLD board, but stopped because of the some very mean posters there. There are some really nice folks there, but at the time I used to post(about 2 years ago) there was a poster that was forever bashing people with any kind of weight on them, she even went as far as to tell some poor girl who was asking advice on her profile in the nastiest way to lose weight. Needless to say, I let her have it. Her post were very mean spirited, but they were never pulled.
There are respectful ways to disagree with someone without getting hurtful or mean. That's why I love this board above all others!
Rebecca, I'm with you 100%, the guy sounded boring and lacking in social graces. These little telltale signs speak volumes about character and should never be ignored. Always trust your instincts, they never fail.
I think i love you guys .... & i just came here for some LOVE!
OMG, it hit the fan SO badly over there today. & darn it! I fed RIGHT into it. BUT, the good thing is i realized that the person who was claiming to be someone, IS the same person who actually is VERY unstable, & personally threatened me in email a while back.
I agree that the best thing you can do is ignore that kind of post.... Send a "report a violation" notice and forget about it.... As the saying goes... when someone points a finger, three are pointing back at themself.
Much Love Rebecca!!!! I always learn soo much from reading your posts!
I think you might of broke a reply record with your post on IV Online dating board! The other day when I read this post for the first time, I don't thing there were 66 replies? Were there?
