If you're meeting someone for the first time for "Coffee" what is your preferred drink?
When on a date that requires eating what kinds of food do you usually order?
What are some interesting "first date" experiences you've had? (other than the initial first coffee meeting?)

If you're meeting someone for the first time for "Coffee" what is your preferred drink? ----> Water or if it's cold out, then maybe hot chocolate
When on a date that requires eating what kinds of food do you usually order? ---> No sandwiches or anything you have to eat with your hands. No spaghetti or anything you can mess up. Chicken with penne would be a good choice. Something you can cut up and ensure you get the right portion on the fork each time. Salad can work well sometimes, but you have to be careful of any large pieces of lettuce and cut them up before you try and eat them, or shove them into your mouth quick when he's looking away.

Herb tea or caffe latte.

Usually something light that is neat/easy to eat - soup, salad, pasta. Like... NOT barbecued ribs!!

One was a bike ride. That was kind of fun - we stopped to talk and then to have breakfast and hit it off.
Another for sushi - which would be okay except the guy was so rude to the waitress and stared at me - I wanted to leave after 5 minutes.
Another was dinner - and then to go to nightclubs on the beach.
Coffee is best and by far my choice. Short and sweet - no pressure.
If you're meeting someone for the first time for "Coffee" what is your preferred drink? A tall non-fat latte or if I’ve had too much coffee that day already I’ll get a Zen tea.

I once went on a first date to “The Crab Pot” where they dump all this seafood and shellfish on a table and you eat off the table with a bib on. LOL I think the guy was testing me! It was quite the scene! I recall I tried to order something plated so that I wouldn’t have to make a pig of myself, but then the server told us that if I didn’t order the same thing my date did, he couldn’t have it because it was a minimum order of two for that dish. I could tell he really wanted to experience it so I said, why not? We had a blast!
From that point on, I was never worried about what I ordered. I just ordered whatever I felt like at the time and didn’t worry about it. If the guy liked me, he would like me for more than my eating habits.

See above. LOL
Also roller skating, dog walking, a ferry ride, batting cages, a baseball game, and a bookstore.
LOL that reminds me, my SO-on our second date, I told him to meet me at Barnes and Noble and told him that if he knew me well enough, he’d know what section to find me in. And he did! He found me in the fiction section under “R” for Anne Rice. LOL
If you're meeting someone for the first time for "Coffee" what is your preferred drink? ...soy mocha
When on a date that requires eating what kinds of food do you usually order? ...I generally go for something I know I'll like rather than take chances on something iffy.
What are some interesting "first date" experiences you've had? (other than the initial first coffee meeting?) ...glow in the dark putt putt! http://www.putting-edge.com/virtual_tour.php Other than that, nothing too unusual.
1/depends on where we're meeting...beer if it's down to earth, wine if it's a fancy place...nonfat latte if it's really for coffee
2/whatever looks good on the menu
3/I consider the coffee date the first date...and one disappointing one was meeting someone who I had hit it off with SO WELL IM and writing, but when we met in person, zzzz...another time I met this guy for a drink who had just only moved out eight days prior and it turned out mostly to be an interview about dating online and what could he expect (obviously we didn't click!).
If you're meeting someone for the first time for "Coffee" what is your preferred drink? I'm a Pepsi girl.

That is absolutely HILARIOUS!!!! LOL!! You have given me a great laugh this morning and I thank you for sharing.
I think that you were simply not meant to be with Mr. Rancher. If he was into you he would have made you feel better about sitting on his hat and he would have laughed at your DD. And you would have made time stand still with your chatting.
How old is she now? Are you still dating?
Thanks, Judy!
