So did anyone watch this last night on TLC? What did you all think? I thought it got started a little slow but it looks like it will be more interesting in the long run than a lot of other dating shows. Of course the first "meet and greet" is always awkward.

I think the kids will add an interesting dynamic. It's nice to see single moms on a dating show! It's about time single moms had their fun!

Sure- it started out with the viewers meeting the three moms who will be the subject of the show- Kristin, Vanessa, and Tracy. Each of them talked a little about themselves and their kids. There were a few scenes of them interacting with their kids and describing what they loved about their kids and what was important.

The kids are all adorable, of course! Tracy's little daughter is a fiery redhead, which surprised me because Tracy has such dark hair!

What surprised me, though, was none of the women really talked about their exes or the fathers of their children. There was no "Well, we got divorced a few years ago... etc etc" - it's like it was just ignored. I thought that was a little strange, but maybe they're saving the details for future episodes when the women are actually dating??

We saw the women getting ready for their respective meet and greets with their suitors. I'm not sure how the men were chosen, but first the men are all together, hanging out with each other (hello awkwardness!) until the woman came in. Each of the woman had her meet and greet in a different location. Once she was introduced to each of the men, the men all cooked her dinner and they all hung out as a group. Later, she tried to get some one on one time for individual conversations with each of them.

At the end of the episode, each of the women picked one or two guys to eliminate, saying there was "no chemistry," etc- except Kristin; she kept them all around because she seemed to like them all and said she couldn't let anyone go yet.

We did not really learn anything about the men themselves, but I'm sure as the field narrows, we definitely will!

I don't know when they'll meet the kids, or if there will be group outings with all three women and their suitors and kids, or if the show is really going to keep each woman and her dating adventure separate?? I think it would be fun if the women hung out together with their suitors, but we'll see!

I hope that was a good enough synopsis :) It looks like it will be a fun show!
