In my jammies, Sunday morning

I just love Sunday mornings! They're so awesome!

Been reading up on everyone's trials, tribulations and celebrations and as always I celebrate with everyone and pray for those who have trials and uncertainties going on their lives.

My weekend started off with missing the cable guy Friday after work. He was running the cable to my DD upstairs room and I MISSED HIM. I'm blaming this mostly on my cell phone carrier as my phone was on, he tried to call, but it never rang. To say the least we are re-scheduled for Monday.

Saturday started off with a little league baseball meeting at 9:00, DD's hair appt. at 11. She got her hair cut short. At first I didn't like it but it's starting to grow on me. Very stylish looking but UGH! my baby's not a baby!!!! It was mostly a shock I think that it was short. I knew she wanted a new cut, but just assumed she would keep it at her shoulders. While she was at her hair appt., I was busy installing a closet rod in her closet. I didn't have the right size drill bit to drill the anchor hole so being the stubborn person that I am was trying to do it the hard way. DER! Ended up going to the store and getting some drill bits. Of course, that made the job lots easier ans I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

But Saturday afternoon was the best! DD got to move in her new room. I think it may help with our relationship just because we won't be on top of each other. She has like her own little apartment up there. I helped her move the big things but other than that have left it up to her. Course, I will help hang pictures now that I have some proper sized drill bits! I certainly don't want a bunch of holes in the new sheetrock! Last night she was up there most of the time and it was a little on the weird side as was this morning. I didn't have to be extra quiet when I woke up.

On the funny side, I got a call from my ex Thurs. afternoon and he said he was getting her a futon for her room. I thought he meant her new room upstairs and then he quickly corrected me and said it was for her room at his house and that he didn't know what he was going to do with the daybed that's in there now. He has already bought it and it's probably set up in her room at his house. Well, last night, my DD and I were just talking about some of the little things that she would like to put in her room and she told me that she had told her dad that she wanted a futon! hee hee! This is going to be interesting because knowing her, she's gonna tell him real quick that she wanted that futon for her room here.

My social life is still on hold for right now and am living vicariously through everyone's dating adventures here. But I know my attention needs to be with my DD and actually, I'm enjoying it. I didn't realize how keyed up I was with everything else I was trying to do.

That is great you got your DD's room done enough for her to move in.

Sounds like you are in a good place in your life!
