OK I TRIED to keep this event low key and no expectations but damn tonight was the ONLY adult group mixer night I had on my calendar for this Labor Day Weekend. I was invited to this great evening party at my woman friend's tony house with LIVE jazz (vocal and keyboard) PLUS she said she was inviting "lovely single ladies" for me to meet. Woo Hoo! I worked on NOT having expectations since I know about hanging my hat on ONE thing to make or break my romantic life but DANG... I really WANTED to meet SOMEone this weekend for it's MY time...
I had a GREAT time.. nice people... GREAT singer and oompany... but noONE and that's OK but now the season is turning and time marches on ....
I am so grateful for my life and what I have. I was HOPEing for a MIRACLE tonight that's all...
Life.. yes indeedy...

Well, I know you're a little disappointed, but I'm glad you got out and had fun. It sounds like a good time.
I remember when I was looking, it seemed like the times I felt I had a shot at meeting someone, I never did. The times I just went to do my thing, I would run into and meet tons of people.
Keep getting out there, keep doing the things you like, and eventually, you will find the one for you.

I sooooooo know how you feel. I cannot count the number of parties and meetings and races and workouts and group swims and group runs and group bike rides I have gone on hoping to meet someone nice because I was ready and it seemed like a great place to meet the right person. I know the the disappointment.
All I can say is that one of these days when you least expect it, SHE is going to be right there. You will meet someone, it just takes a little time. You know yourself very well and know what you want and what you need. From what you write here, you are going to make a splendid match for the right woman.
On the plus side, that sounds like a most wonderful evening and classy party. Hopefully there are many more. And it is always much better to be out of the house, than in the house. That is my motto!!
Yes indeed. Thanks all :-).

Sorry you didn't find the ONE but you will. Keep plugging away. It's nice to see there are some men in the boat along with us.

Sounds like my kind of night! Positive experiences are always a good thing.
"She" will happen when it's time, not one moment sooner.
Hang in there and keep having fun.
