My Last Weekend of Freedom for 10 months

I was sure that my summer would have been filled with going out, dating, never coming home and just being crazy. I had planned that my last weekend would be a HUGE blowout!!! Hmmm..... instead, I'm home. I have been home for weeks or staying at a friends at the beach twice this summer. But otherwise, even then just wanting to relax. No clubs or much nightlife; just Home Depot. So the reality of my two months of freedom, is that I almost never went out. Only stayed home. Not sure what to think. I had 62 days of freedom and used maybe 10 to do something.
On one hand I'm glad I have, because I've been so exhausted with my job, not feeling well and doing stuff around the house, but on the other hand, I worry that when the girls get back, I'll be itching to go out after a few weeks, because I haven't been anywhere all summer.
I'm hoping once the house is in perfect order, I can invite friends over to just hang out with the girls and myself and that I don't become balistic after two weeks of them being home and them driving me crazy again.
Last year, it was the same thing and a week after they returned I wished they were on vacation again. The bickering, fighting and not listening drove insane. The all or nothing is draining. All I have work and the house, but next week, another class starts for me again, my 14 hour the day job, no sleep, the girls and then the girls have loads of appointments before school starts again for them. AND THEN!!! Homework, back to school paperwork and getting them to keep this place clean. UGGH!!!!!!!!!
Send me prayers and well wishes! LOL.

Well, let's hope they come home quiet, a little bit older/wiser and appreciative and in wonder of all the great work you have done around your house! I think it is going to be a good year, Cat!
Enjoy your weekend and last few minutes of peace and quiet.
Did they see the 'before'?
Today I build a greek looking gazebo, yes, believe it or not! LOL! I used all the terrific wood that the owner left to build it and I was given chicken wire for free two weeks ago. So I just built an entire gazebo for nothing, a firepit that cost me $6 bucks, redid my dining room which totalled $20 bucks with paint, sandpaper and varnish. My 3 biggest costs was my 100 dollar chandelier that was 60% off, Kitchen table off craigslist for 60 dollars (beautiful and I got them down from 70), a old fashioned hideaway 60's sewing machine that folds into a beautiful drawer from craigslist for $45 (got it down from 50). Not only does it work terrific, but it's in my dining room now because it matches the decor and I can put stuff in the drawers. And my couch covers which cost me a total of 80 dollars for both couch and loveseat. I got a new coffee table for free from my neighbors. Redid all my curtains and dyed them to fit the girls room. Used my new sewing machine to hem it all and next week, I 'll start doing the new couch pillows.
Yup, I hope the girls will be thrilled. A little nervous about it, but hoping for the best!
The kids are going to be SO excited & impressed! What a Mum! :o)

We have been living in a two bedroom as well and now are about to move to a house ( fingers crossed) so we have been looking at craigslist too and we were shocked at what could be done. There are such nice things for sale and you can really find just about anything. I think at this point if the piece of furniture you want is a standard piece that has been sold by any store for more than a season because it is classic you'd be silly not to look at craigslist since someone is surely selling it!
