My story from last night...

Well, I had fun last night. I got a babysitter and did some karaoke. It's my thing for winding down. And if it's a good night, I actually meet a few guys.
Last night I met two. First was Andy, a 34 yr old headhunter. We talked for a while but I wasn't really into him. I was just thinking... hey, I met someone new.
Then later I saw a guy I thought I remembered from a couple months ago. His name is Jeremiah. Funny thing was he didn't remember me.... But I smiled at him so he came over. (Wow, I'm still surprised at how basic and effective a smile can be.) I said... you're name is Jeremiah, right?" and I was right. Actually, it's a good thing he didn't remember me, because I had two guys paying attention to me that night... and I chose the other guy. *d'oh*
The other thing fun about last night is I love hearing guys tell me I look 28 yrs old (and I'm actually 34). I said to Andy ... ya know I like looking younger but then I attract younger guys... And the bartender (overhearing me) says... you attract the older guys too. So I felt good.
Jeremiah looked young, too, but he thought I was only 24..... I didn't mention being a single mom. Jeremiah turned out to be 26... not too young....
He was cute. I gave him my number and said I'd like to go out with him when he's sober... and able to remember me. Unfortunately, he's in the Navy and he's leaving for California in Feb. But I still wouldn't mind going out with him once or twice before then.... I made fun of him that he didn't remember me ... he says "did we kiss?" LOL... I said, no but we danced. He says, "we should have kissed"...i thought that was cute.
Loonybunny ~having a little fun flirting~

Loony, I love karoake! I also love that you got out and had fun. Even if nothing ever comes of it, you are right that a smile will go a long way. There's absolutely nothing wrong with just flirting for flirting's sake- lord knows I did enough of that today!
Glad you had fun!
Moody, flirted out for now

What a fun night! I love karaoke too! I always celebrate my birthday with friends at the karaoke bar... and we have a Playstation karaoke game at home too (Singstar). We're having a home karaoke evening at the end of February, and I can't wait. It's great for bringing people together, and the kids love it too!
Glad you're having fun singing and flirting... :o)
