My update

I just got out of the hospital (put in for high blood pressure) and I was put on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy because of pre-eclampsia. While I was in the hospital the pediatric cardiologist came in and did an ultrasound on baby Dylan. The diagnosis was not so good. Possible Tetralogy of Fallot: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/tof/tof_what.html

Any p&pt would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Janet,

Sorry to hear of this distressing news. Bed rest is very hard at best - I hope you can keep yourself occupied and not go too crazy. It does sound like you are getting good prenatal care. But I can only imagine that you would freak with having to go to the hospital and deal with all of that only to find you might have a baby with a heart defect.

I was relieved to read in the link you sent us that the defect can be corrected with surgery and the baby can grow up okay. That is most encouraging.

You do have my positive prayers and thoughts. I hope everything will be okay.

Keep us posted. Will you have a laptop so you can come and visit us - the board is busy now and we would love your positive input!!

HUGS!!

Janet, I'm so sorry to hear about the baby, and about your pre-eclamsia. I'm praying for you, and hope these last few weeks go by quickly and smoothly for you.

(((HUGS))))
