My wild night - humor - LOL!!

Okay - a little humor here girls (and guys) - I know you can all relate as a single parent!

Yesterday I go to school to pick up DS and the carpool boys. DS wants his friend to come home with us - okay - they don't have too much homework and I figured that would make him happy after our football fiasco on vday.

It is great - they are eating up a storm and dividing the homework - not that I would do that every day but it makes for fun and they double checked each other so it is like they did all of it.

Then they want to go in the pool. That is groovy. DS took plenty of towels outside and then when they got cold he offered all of his warm clothes for them to swim in.

At 6:30 I realized I had no food in the house for dinner - so this brings two dilemmas - dinner and grocery shopping. I said they had to come in and get dressed so we could go. They did not want their fun to end so I agreed to take the friend to dinner and the store.

They piled the wet towels and wet clothes high on the patio. Now you have to figure in the two puppies to this mix - they had to eat and go potty and into their crates - but first they have to chase each other all over the yard. And the boys don't just get all dressed and ready at the snap of a finger either. They are laughing and dropping toys and getting them out of the pool. And my clients are calling and I am answering emails. Somehow we were ready in 20 minutes though with the pile of laundry going in on the way to the car.

DS's friend's mom says he can go with us. But it is a school night so we do need to be back by 9 for both DS and friend.

So we rush to the neighborhood salad bar restaurant. DS's friend has never been to one of those (he lives in the country club). DS's friend is also wearing an ebay outfit because he had to borrow DS's clothes for dinner - hahaha - I am the only one who knows that !!

Anyway, I rush them through dinner and then into Walmart. It is fabulous - they are well fed so now they are both well behaved and pushing the cart for me. We are doing 11 minute miles through all the aisles. Gotta love the superwalmart - it is the only place you can get all the groceries, new toy for DS with his allowance, pool chemicals, dog treats and toiletries all in the same place.

Those two are a huge help unloading the cart, bagging stuff, pushing the cart and putting stuff in the car. Did we actually get through my list in a whole superwalmart in just 35 minutes? That is a world record!!

Now we are in the car with all the loot at 8:50 so we get to DS's friend's house right on time. They are watching a star wars DVD and shooting the new nerf gun in the back seat. OMG - how did this happen to me?

Back at home we had to unload groceries, get DS and puppies ready for bed and all 3 in bed by 9:30. We did it.

No wonder I slept so well last night!! LOL!! The concept of a wild night has changed!!

That is so funny and I can TOTALLY relate! Just replace it with two wild girls and two cats and you got me in the middle! LOL. Funny how a wild night has changed for us. I was just talking to my daughter about it last night. She wanted to know if anyone ever calls me Cat and I said, when I had my major wild days before she was born, most everyone called me Cat. She said, "You had wild times?", I laughed and laid in bed thinking about those wild days of mine and how different my life is now. Wild for me now, is two hyperactive girls tearing up my house. LOL

I just SO WISH to have a night of going out and dancing again. Donna is planning on visiting me in April for an extended weekend (we haven't yet figured out the exact date), so she promised me that we will be doing that. It'll be beach, drinks and dancing. :)

YA!
