Cat,

I would tend to want to have my weekend planned to keep me happy - with a little wiggle room for him where it is convenient for me. If he calls and wants to join - fine - and if not - fine.

It is him that went away. It is him that wants less communication. I feel you must take a step back and allow him to fill his own space.

If you want to see him then tell him so! Have you met each others kids yet? Are you ready for that? If you are then say what you want to him. I think women (men too) need to quit beating around the bush and make their needs known. Worse he could say is he'd rather just hang out with his kids. Not too bad if

Cat, A book I just read called Self Esteem by Fanning and McKay would help. It talks about all that stuff. Getting self esteem back. Asking for what you want and need. Its more of a workbook and asks

One thing that worked for me when you kinda want to tiptoe around and feel silly for doing so:


Come up with a fun thing to do with your kids. I picked the zoo, but the local park/school playground
