Hi!

I bet it seems I've fallen off the face of the earth.

Mandy,

Everyone is giving excellent advice, but without stepping on anyone’s toes, I think only maybe something has been missed. This is my opinion only, because you are describing my youngest daughter who has been diagnosed for AHDS, even though she is only 3. You described it down to a T. For instance, no punishment is going to faze him, he won’t care. The huge change from Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde; I know EXACTLY what you are talking about!

Read up about it.

There are loads of information throughout the web, including a message board on ivillage. Look it all up and see if this could pertain to your son. If you get him tested and it is positive, you should make sure you get yourself tested as well. I did after both my girls were tested positive. I thought nothing was wrong, because I was just like them. LOL. Now we are just a total mad-crazy nut house, but we live a better life knowing we have help.

Hi Mandy, it must be encouraging that your son's teachers say he's normal, like

Mandy, that is so funny you say that.

If dyslexia does run in your family, you do need to have your son checked. Dyslexia and ADHS tends to run hand in hand. Her father has both ADHD and so does my oldest daughter. We aren't sure about the youngest, because it's too soon to tell.

Please do look into it, especially since you just told me that bit of info.

Take care,

Catherine

We all get tested as kids, pretty much.
