New guy is new boyfriend

We've been dating for a month and he's officially my boyfriend. The foundation for this relationship is a lot better than anything I have experienced in a good long while. We seem to be mutually into each other.

He likes talking to me on the phone, coming over, and emailing. Things are reciprocated readily and I don't have to wonder if he's into me or not. We were together for NYE and he kissed me several times. It was kind of funny. He kissed me when it was midnight by his watch and kissed me again when the place where were announced it as midnight.

Tricia:

CONGRATS to you! That's great. You definitely deserve it. I'm not quite there with Mark right know, but we are totally starting over and I'm being cautious. Like Revonec said, we all wish we could be there.

Hi there

That's great. I'm glad things are going so well with the two of you! Sounds like you had a nice NYE!

Now, let me ask, how do you know he's "officially" your boyfriend? Did you discuss this? Or is a marker in your own mind that after a month he's your official boyfriend? I'm just curious and I bet others would be too.

I know many of us past our 20's feel silly saying "boyfriend", I do and I don't, but it sounds so weird saying "significant other" except here where you can just type "SO" and be done with it. ;0

Hmm...that's an interesting question. Because now that I think about it, J and I never had that "excluisivity" talk. It just happened and I think we just both assumed we were "official". I was putting myself in dangerous emotional territory assuming that, I guess. LOL

It was easy for D and I. After about three weeks of dating, I asked him if he was going to take his ad off of yahoo personals and he said, "well, yeah...are you?" and I said..."Yes, does this mean we're officially boyfriend and girlfriend?" and he said "Yup, unless you don't want to be..." and I said "I want to be!" and he said "WEll, then, it's settled...you're mine!" :)

He asked me if he could call himself my boyfriend. He said he felt like he was my boyfriend, but wanted to make sure that I felt the same way....and, of course, I do.
