Hello... new here.. divorced almost 2 years.. did online dating off the bat and met someone (who turned out to be NOT a good person for me...longstory- but he was close to my kids and a huge mistake- I did so much wrong because he DID meet and bond with my kids so early)...

Welcome!!

I think any of us here could have written this note - are you sure you are not me?

The thing is that you have to be picky and just wait for the right one. I don't think the ones you are seeing now come anywhere near that and so no wonder you don't want do date.

I hope you stick around and post more in our other threads - we have a great board here. I am sure the others will post more here too when they come back from their holiday.

HUGS!

Hi there and welcome,

Your headline is my latest mantra - right now for me with 2 teen boys and another in 3 different schools, 3 skeds and doing 99% of the parenting, and after ending a LTR where they could not be my focus,

I used to think I was the only one that felt like this until I would read posts on tis board and other boards for that much. I think people just go through spells. I'm right there with you right now. Personally, I'm so focused being a parent right now that I don't think it would be fair to even bring someone in my life. In the meantime, I'm just living my life one day at a time.

Welcome to the board, Happymommy!

There's nothing wrong with taking a break and being happy single- you're not odd for wanting some peace and enjoying life as a single person.
