Ok- I had a tentative coffee meet set up for tonight... the guy, A, gave me his number and asked me to call on Sunday night to confirm.

That's what OLD is all about. Its a numbers game. You choose. You go girl!

What is POF? Not sure if I've ever been there. Match.com for me originally.

Is POF better?

If you hadn't noticed him on POF after not taking your call, MAYBE he could have come up with a 'good reason', but I highly doubt there is a good reason for ALL of it...

Too bad, Al.

Not sure if this is the case in your area or not but needed to throw this out there, as I have had to explain this on more than one occassion.

If someone calls my cell phone and I am out of service, there is no indication of this to them. It rings normal on their end and then goes to my voicemail. If they don't leave me a message I have no idea that they called. A missed call does not register on my cell when the call was placed while I was out of service. I always advise people to either leave me a message or text me that they called.

I was going to make the same point momofthree did. If you are out of range OR if the phone is OFF with my service, it will not show a missed call or anything when you get back in range or turn the phone off. The only indicator would be a voicemail. So I think you might want to keep that in mind.

I guess you really don't know if he was possibly out of range or even stepped out momintarily. DOes your name/number show up on phones or is it blocked? If he did not know you called, he might have assumed you were not interested, therefore popped back on to POF. Just a thought :o)

Well, this isn't an area that gets "out of range" problems.
