This is both an update on my relationship with CW but also a topic for discussion on being adored.

I don't think being adored is necessary.

I would be interested in what "being adored" looks like to you?

I believe my caring, listening, etc. shows how much I care and like her but I would not characterize what I feel and do as adoring her.

I chose that birthday gift because one of the things she told me that she likes is cooking.

Come on, Mark, fess up - you got her the cooking class to have her make the fine cusine for you, didn't you - TEASING YOU!

I think your ability to express yourselves is so healthy.

I guess the "adored" part of a relationship is that beginning stage where the other person can do no wrong.

Mark,

Interesting subject. Glad you posted it. What do you adore? Please explain your definition of adore. Did you adore your wife but this with CW is different? From the sounds of the class you bought her (jealous) you do have a high opinion of her.

Just from a womens point of view. Women like to be adored. We like to be told that we look nice and are beautiful or whatever it is that you guys appreciate about us. Do you do this with CW?

I agree a little bit with most posts but my feelings are I don't need to be fawned over but I do need to know that I am valued and appreciated. For me, this is expressed through thougtfulness in actions. That means my significant other will do things not because he feels obligated but because he is thoughtful and knows I would appreciate it. This can be as simple as acknowleding my new hairstyle (though I am ok if he doesn't) or one of my accomplishments to picking up dinner when I am in a crunch at work or say putting thought into getting me special birthday gift that will make me happy.

BTW...super cool gift!!
