This is both an update on my relationship with CW but also a topic for discussion on being adored.

How I define "adore" which may be different from CW's view (we have not defined the term with each other) is

Hi Mark,

I agree with you here. You do have a mature and healthy relationship. You seem very thoughtful and plugged into what CW likes and needs.

As for adoration... I don't need it. I would be happy if a man took the time to cook me a meal. Also, the b-day present sounds lovely. I was married for 16 years and never got so much as a b-day card or Christmas present. not to mention a meal and he could cook.

I think we need to care about and respect ourselves along with our mate. That way we don't get lost in the other. I know because I allowed my ex to become too much of me.

I am happy that you are on this message board and share your peacefulness and male perspective.

Wow. You got a lot of responses here.

So many different definitions of adore.

I dont have a strong physical attraction to EMT but I do adore him. To me its an admiration thing. Sort of seeing his strong points and liking them. One thing I noticed right off is EMT's friends adore him. It was so obvious. When we walked into a room the people in there lit up at the site of EMT and were genuinely happy to see him. It was like EMT lit up the room. This has happened many times. Its like when Norm walked into Cheers.

Does CW do this to you? Do you look up to her and notice and point out her strong points and what attracts you to her? This could also be what she thinks of adoring.

Ps good move going with the cooking class in addition to the rain jacket.

Last night he was saying how my stuff was strung from one end of his house to the other

Honestly men are so weird about this issue, I have no idea why.
