Yep, pot was Rob's issue. Between him and Janice I can see one or both of them getting into a lot of trouble very easily. Rob lost his license for D&D but still drives, and as I said before Janice wants to be a nurse but she's addicted to pain killers. It got to the point where Barry was hiding Loki's medicine in case Janice got desperate for a fix. Pretty sad huh?
"I find no matter how much I enjoy another person that unless they share key, core values such as becoming the best they can be (spiritually, morally, character, giving back, making a contribution in the world, etc.) then they are relegated to an acquaintance or at best, in the friend category.
If you do speak to him, it is about YOUR values not about HIS character or lack of ambition.
I tend to side with your friend who says sit on it for a while. I think his income should really be his business until you guys move to the exclusive and serious looking at a future together phase. He could potentially be gainfully employed and earning well when you get there. I would relax and have fun with him and see where it goes.

DJ's friend is giving his opinion from his perspective and his set of values.
Once again, I think Mark nailed it!
