Hi all,

Just checking in to let you know I'm still here..... Not much of an update. Haven't met a new guy in a couple weeks (feels longer).

Haven't heard back from BeachGuy since last Monday's phone call (feels like longer). Saw ChurchBus guy at church. I smiled at him but he didn't seem to remember me. :( However, I AM going to try out for the choir. I'll just have to act "normal" around him and not awkward like I like him or something. I don't even know him, yet.

Everyone at work who used to be single now seem to have girlfriends. :-( BUT I am still going to the movies with some coworkers this weekend.

And that's it.... (nothing came about with the cop or the accident guy....lol)

Loony, have faith, you will meet the right one for you. It will just take you time. I think you are doing a great job to get out there. For sure.

I am glad you are getting out to the movies with your co-workers. Which one are you going to see?

We are seeing "Pirates of the Carribean" this Sunday evening.

I was hoping to have a date for that one...BUT.... And when I realized that I didn't have a date, I started asking around work to see if a group was going and invited myself basically. But I'm cool with that... i think that's better than staying at home and sulking because I didn't have a date. And I can still keep my eyes open to say hello and smile at some new guy....

But when I think that I bought a new date dress a couple months ago and haven't had an opportunity to wear it yet... boo... that discourages me.

I know what that feels like. I have been on my own for 7 years now - officially divorced for 6. And I was dateless for the last 4 of them. Just never found anyone I wanted to date. But focusing on your life and having patience does pay. Don't ever be afraid to go to the movies by yourself - I did that a lot of times and got quite used to being alone. Also found a lot of ways to get out with others.
