Maybe I am over-reacting, but you moms can tell me .....

On our 1st meeting (met out Sat nite watching the Sox game) we were chatting about divorce & kids. I told him how bad my dd is about my dating ... gets really upset.

So on the phone last nite we were firming up tonites plans, he says

I think I would be taking offense at those comments also, you had every right to be perturbed.

UGH!

I found that with the navy guys here- they're all really pushy and only in it for sex!

Thumbs down to him and those comments!!

I think you'll end up spending a chunk of time on your date, trying to "fend him off"- whether it be physically or verbally- I think he will keep on pressing his chances of getting sex out of you.

He lives across the continent and thinks he can have some fling-like dates and get some sex... and then go home and never look back! If you're okay with it, then who's to stop you? But if you don't want that type of thing, then I wouldn't feel TOO hurt about cancelling on him either!

It's pretty clear that he's only out for himself, and for some sex.

I would dump him as fast as any rotten hot potato. He is only interested in a roll in the hay and puts his physical needs before wanting to take you out and make you feel comfortable on a date and get to know you. And the fact that he would want to come over to your house with your daughter there is just appalling. I don't think this would all get better after his initial conversation - I think it would get worse and that you should listen to your gut which is very good - and nix him.

I vote for LawnBoy.

Nope - don't like it and don't think you are over-reacting. I think that reeks of disrespect, and if it was supposed to be funny, it isn't.

I would still go if I were you, but keep your eyes wide open, and if the opportunity arises, call him on it. At least that way you will know for sure whether it was a joke that fell flat, or whether you can next him cos he just wants a booty call. You have good lovin' on tap, and I'm sure you don't need another one, knowing how satisfied LB's, erm,
