LOL!! I am sorry to laugh - but that is just hilarious!!!
But don't worry - you don't need answers - you have a great man and ring. And I promise it will die down in a bit. Just smile - they are admiring and you are queen for the day.
And, if you do want answers from him, now is the time to take advantage - "I heard this question today and it made think I better know the answer to that one!!" LOL!!
Keep a sense of humor and smile. And you don't have to answer everything - remember Jackie O's policy - minimal information, maximal politeness.
I've reserved a section on the shuttle to MYOB-ville for your coworkers.
I feel your uneasiness...I know what it is like to have co-workers try to get the nitty gritty. Not as awkward as your situation, but it was a bit awkward when they all discovered that BE was a patient that I was assigned to as an advocate. I'm a relatively private (outwardly) person and it does feel uncomfortable to have your personal life out there especially at work!
I like Moons answer- if you feel like saying anything at all to the questions just ell them that you two are still considering the details. They don't need to know any more than that.
Aww - that was sweet. It sounds like they are all happy for you - and it is a good thing - and gives many who would like to be in your shoes hope. It is just a lot of attention at once at a time when you are probably freaking out at the changes that will ensue in your life. You are a celebrity!!

Here's your reply to all questions about your upcoming marriage, no matter what they ask:
"thank you, we're very happy"
And then smile sweetly and walk away.
I know this is easier said than done but…..Rise above the petty remarks and don't let them get you down!
Thank you!
