Well I met a great guy...a new great guy. I feel like a giddy teenager over the whole thing! So silly! We had been talking and emailing and what not and finally he asked me out. I was NOT nervous at all about meeting him but he told me he was nervous to meet me! He said I am intimidating....I have no idea how I could be but...I can relate to the nervousness. We had a FABULOUS first date. We ended up at a local pub I like to go to and just laughed and talked. It was like we knew each other for EVER!

So we ended the date with a small kiss and went our seperate ways agreeing to a second date. Well the next morning he called and asked if I would go out with him after I got off work! ( I work second shift) So we met and had a late dinner and talked some more. He was so flattering and polite. We had a little disagreement over who was paying for what. I think it should be dutch..he thinks he should pay unless I invite him. UGh. But I did let him pay. So he asked me out for ANOTHER date! Wow!

No not yet but obviously if it continues to be an issue I am going to have to tactfully say something. People say I am too blunt and it comes off hurtful sometimes so I am working on a tactful way of dealing with it. We will see how this weeks date goes..if he starts smelling again...I am gonna HAVE to say something cause BO is a deal breaker for sure!

It may be that you just have to "next" him. But of course his reaction to your suggestion will tell you a lot. That is a difficult situation at best and you are doing him a favor and really if any of us were in the same boat we would want someone to tell us - but he may not see it that way!!

And some people just have strong body odor no matter what they do - we had a girl like that at work - she knew it and did her best but I think something was wrong to cause it in the first place. Fortunately none of that was my responsibility and so I never had to tell her. She was a single mom with a disabled child, whose husband left her and she worked the graveyard shift. I always felt sad for her. But HR got involved and gave her a lifetime supply of hotel soaps and shampoos to use - and she said she used them - but they made little difference.

And of course you can always put the shoe on the other foot. If you were a guy and went out with a girl that smelled, you would never call again. :-P
