Congrats!! Keep us posted!!

I can never figure out what to wear on a date and the closer the date time gets the more of a tizzy I get in.

Maybe you can go through your closet now and find something that makes you feel best? I think looking when you are not stressed is key.

The problem is that what makes me feel best doesn't quite fit me yet.

Trying stuff on is a good idea.

I have a friend who is trying to lose weight. She always looks spectacular in what she wears because she matches everything up so well - shoes, jewelry, purse, etc. Her hair is always fixed so nice. So maybe you can focus on being really put together.

I have found that her trick is wonderful - it is not like you need all these expensive trendy clothes - you just need to work on matching everything really well.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Whoa!!! Did I miss the thread about THE GUY?!

All right, where are you going? If it's a casual place, I'd wear something that I know looks great on me- maybe great jeans or capris and an awesome top. It's good that you're going straight from work, since then you aren't stessing about how you look and you're just going with it.

I work in a "business casual" office, so for me, I would wear slacks and a nice top, or a skirt and top combo. I wear a lot of skirts though, so it wouldn't be uncommon or out of place for me to wear one at any time.

Don't freak over your wardrobe, just wear something you FEEL great in.

Moody, who wishes she could go shopping instead of to work today

Sounds like a skirt is a winner.

23 pounds is a lot - good work!

A teacher sounds really nice!! I bet he has some good stories each day - and I like that. I don't want another one like my exh that comes home with boring accounting and banking stories eacy day.

Please have a great day and keep us posted!!

Here's my "disguise my weight trick" ... lol I dont know how much you "have to lose", but i could lose a GOOD 30#, mostly in my freaking belly! :(

1st, buy one of those 1 piece "slimmers". Basically a bodysuit with a bra. Even if you arent that overweight, its a nice slimmer AND smoother.

2nd, i usually often wear a tank or nice T, that is loose fitting around my belly, un-tucked, with a linen shirt over it, open. Its sort of slimming, covers any side or back "rolls" ;) yet still can be a bit sexy b/c if you want to show cleavage a bit, you can, with the neckline of the t/tank underneath. AND they loose waist of the t/tank will diguise a tummy!

& best of all, relax & have FUN. As i said once b4, when women were worrying about this on another board, about 1st time sex (not that your'e there YET! lol) & body issues - no matter what you dress in, NO one can disguise their body enough that a guy doesnt know what he is getting once youre naked. If they are attracted to you & asking you out, well ... they are attracted , period! So, go ahead & do your best to feel good about YOU, who CARES what others think!
