You guys all know I live in Germany and I want to come back to the STates. But where? Where should I go!

So here is the contest:

Who can win me over to their State and/or City:

You have to give me at least 4 valid reasons and one of them has to do with men. LOL

For example:

What does your city and/or state have to offer for a single mom?

Your answers might just bring you a new neighbour and wouldn't that be FUN!

I only understand making Vegas a family vacation IF you have FAMILY in Las Vegas! Otherwise - leave those kiddies at home! I'm not going to say there is nothing for them to do here (there is) - but it's called "Sin City" for NUMEROUS reasons!

Have a great time on your sis' birthday party!

Chiming in from Seattle, WA USA :)

Here are just a few of the things that make Seattle a great place to live:

Location, nature and beauty: We're known as the Emerald City (in the Evergreen State) due to the abundance of trees and green grass. The city is bordered by large bodies of water and mountains: the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains to the west and Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountain Range to the east. North of the city are farms, tulip fields and salmon rivers. We are also about a three hour drive from Vancouver, Britsh Columbia or Portland, Oregon and we're about a 2 hour plane ride from San Francisco, CA or Juneau, Alaska and there are lots of gorgeous guys to go on trips with. :)

Culture, Diversity and History: We've got Seattle Center, a park built in the 1960's for the World's Fair. It is home of the Space Needle, the Experience Music Project, the Science Center, Performing Arts Theatre and the Children's Museum. Several cultural and entertainment events happen here, such as the Bite of Seattle and Bumbershoot. Pike Place Market is a historic downtown farmer's and craft market and Home of the very first Starbucks! Pioneer Square is the heart of "old town" Seattle, bursting with lots of nightlife and an "Underground City Tour" of the original Seattle ruins that are buried under the the Seattle we live in today and lots of cute guys to take the tour with. :)

Sports: We've got Pro sports teams and awewsome state of the art Sports Arenas. We've got baseball: Mariners, Football: Seahawks, and basketball: Supersonics, and Seattle Storm (women's team), and lots of good looking guys to go to the games with!

Beaches: We've got saltwater and freshwater beaches. And lots of hot guys who frequent them! The freshwater beaches are especially great for young kids.

Microbreweries and wineries and coffee! Walk anywhere in downtown Seattle for about 3 minutes and you'll pass atleast 2 Starbucks, 2 Tully's, and 3-4 individual espresso stands and you'll find lots of handsome men who love coffee!

Arts& Entertainment: We've got Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Experience Music Project and the Seattle Art Museum. We've got an abundance of large screen movie theatres (even a drive-in), 2 gameplexes (Gameworks & Jillians), pool halls, bowling, gyms, lots of really great restaurants (featuring fresh seafood: salmon, crab...) and lots of delicious men to go with :) And we have a full range of outdoor activities, including skiing, mountain climbing, hiking, cycling, tennis, golf, boating, fishing, wind surfing, kayaking and more ...and lots of really attractive guys that are out doing it!

Healthcare: we've got some of the best hospitals and cancer research facilities in the country.

Real estate is booming (Although getting kind of costly) and it is a renter's market right now so if you're looking to rent you'll find really good deals.

Sorry this reads like a tourist book! I just love this city!

Minuses: TRAFFIC! VERY SHORT DAYS IN THE WINTER.

I lose because my state SUCKS! BUT - the UP in Michigan is nice (I am in the Detroit Metro area) and men outnumber women 4-1 and with all the snow the only thing to do up there is snow-mobile, ski, have a hot roaring fire and have sex. It is cheap, the summers are gorgeous. And you are close to Canada in case you get sick of the US after all LOL!

Personally I would just go to Canada to begin with or England...but that is me,

and the winner is: Seattle (because I used to live their and in Tacoma for years), runner up Massachusetts, because if I didn't know Seattle, I would of chosen that right away. 3rd place is Colorado, because I always wanted to live their, but I just find it to expensive.

But in reality...

I'll be moving to San Antonio, Texas.

I have family my sister and my oldest DD's grandparents and friends from my high school days,

the gulf of mexico and gulf shrimp,

austin texas best party town in the state,

the guadalupe river for tubing down in the summer with beer and wine coolers.

Mexico is close,

The best food (tex-mex for instance)

We have great weather

and their really is a 100 things to do here

dallas cowboys, san antonio spurs.

and saving the best for last: the most gorgeous men in the world. I have to say that time and time again, because I keep coming across that and they are just true southerners. To the most part at least. LOL The one I have now is just another example, plain and simple: Gorgeous. GRIN and let's just say most of my X's lived in Texas. GRIN.

Texas is a huge state with endless places to see. It's 635 miles across and the east and weat are so totally different than one another. It's like a whole different country. If you like city life, Dallas is an awesome place to live. There are so many different types of restaurants, clubs, and opportunities there. Pretty much anyone with some ability can find work. And there are quiet areas of Dallas to live in after the hustle of the daytime traffic. If you prefer a quieter place, East Texas where I live is also nice. I live in a gorgeous historical neighborhood and there are homes for sale right here in Tyler in this neighborhood!! We are the Rose Capital of Texas and let me tell you, they are beautiful! I got married in the Rose Garden so that should tell you how romantic it is. West Texas is a dryer climate with a lot of space, but the stars at night are the prettiest! Never in my whole life have I seen such clear night skies!!! I got engaged under those stars and I can't wait to go back and kiss Shane under them. Vacationing in Texas is so easy. We have the beach, we have country, we have desert, and we have big sprawling cities. Wanna go to Mexico for the day? Cross the border and you're there! And don't forget the Southern charm. No one ever accused us of being rude!!! You'd be very welcomed here!
