Ok, so most of you read my update about my weekend with George and the kids. I might as well say his name, because the cat is out of the bag anyway when I talked about him last week. Soooo, I wrote a text message to George on Sunday afternoon and thanking him for the time we had and how much we enjoyed it.

NO WORD. NOT ONE. So, I'm thinking ok, maybe it wasn't that great for him. Anyway, I just got a text message back two days later: It says:

Thanks so much for coming over. Katie loved it as did I. You and Alex did a great job with spaghetti. Lets get together again soon.

True, I already sent him a thank you for a lovely evening on Sunday night. No need to say more. I think less is much better. If he means soon, he'll make the move, but I'm just going to say my little: "Sounds great!" -

I totally agree on waiting to respond...I'd even wait a bit longer to tell you the truth. Sort of a after dinner responce. Then by that time everyone has had a chance to unwind from the day and its a little more casual when youre relaxed and it will give him a chance to stew and wonder what youre thinking. I hate games too but sometimes the pursuit is really rewarding in the end! On with the hunt!! LOL It sounds like it is going in the right direction though...happy thoughts your way!!!!

Say - "yes that sounds great" - and then see how it all goes on its own. I know, patience. That was killing me with MtEverest too - that is why I went so crazy to stay busy with others. Because you never know where it is going to go.

Chances are he was busy or the text took a long time to go through.

BUT keep us posted!

yeah, same here. I slow down about 9:30 and up at 5am. Shes only 2 so showering alone with the door closed to keep the heat in comes at a price...that price is 5 am..lol even then I have a little friend who sits with me (my dog). Maybe just a quick text that says "sounds good" and leave it at that...but again this is coming from someone who hasnt been on a date in a really long time so I think your best bet (and this is something that i think women - at least i have -gotten grief over for way to long) listen to your gut. Whats it tell you to do? If it says call then call if it says wait then wait. Nobody knows better than you do...we forget to listen to that little voice that when all is said and done really does know... i wish i could just start listening to mine a bit more :0)

oooo, I think the Yes, sounds great is good too. I have another hour to ponder it. LOL

Another thing I'm working on is not responding immediately to my emotions. Although I want to.

This guy doesn't like to text although a techi. Thank goodness. I definitely want to go really slow, because I am unsure if I really would want to pursue something with him or not. I'm also not going to put that pressure cooker on, I don't necessarily want a relationship and I'm happy to just do exactly what we did. Hang out together and enjoy the company and let the kids enjoy it. I especially like the response: Katie loved, as did I.

I thought that was cool, because it also showed he really enjoyed himself too, but not just enjoyed it, but loved it! LOL.

So did I, so it's nice to know we both felt really comfortable in the situation. I've given up all hopes of

definitely won't analyze more then playdate or friendship. After 7 years, I'm over thinking it could be more. I'm just going to enjoy the moment!
